[UO Herald] Code Activation Re-Enabled

    Greetings,

    Code activation has been re-enabled on the account center. You can once again enter game cards, item codes etc. in the account management under ‘Activate a Key’.

    For your convenience we have created an account activation guide to explain the different options available on that page.

    Please contact our customer support if you have additional questions.

    You All need to get a hold of Popps ... put him up in a hotel and taxi him to the offices and get him to help you Design a Secure Website that Makes Sense to USE

    Well I could add my account and apply GTC just fine.

    Only the Account Change Notification mail I got afterwards, is in Chinese/Japanese (who knows), which I cannot read.

    I dare not post it as example because I cannot tell if any of my account info is mentioned.

    Sites secure in Chrome, So must be Firefox if you can't see the padlock there.

    To quote one of their explanations

    "The Statusbar is gone and the "lock" with it. Security information about a web page is shown by the Site Identity Button.
    The old padlock could give users a false sense that a site is secure by not supplying all of the information about a site and only showed that there is a secure connection that didn't guarantee that you are connected to the right server. The Site Identity Button was introduced in Firefox 3.0 to show more complete "identity" information for HTTPS web pages.

    My code worked, problem is, due to the shock, I have developed a palpitation in my ticker......thanks EA, now gimmie that extra charge back, or im gonna have to get tough.:gun:

    my gtc that support gave me isnt working.. i tried chat again and the guy said the code is valid and to try again later..

    so its not 100% fixed yet :(

    OK, I created my EA Accounts just yesterday, but there was this account, which I got an email stating it "expired".

    Well, I added a GTC just on 4th on August, for 180 days, but the code doesn't show up either on the account now and I can't add it to it either (it says the code was used already).

    What do I do now, EAMythic, please? :blushing:

    "Game code site is good to go.........*crash bang whallop* (thats the sound of them laughing so hard they fell off their chair)
    Now we just sit here and wait for them to tell us whats wrong with the site.....it's great this getting them to do all the work for what were getting paid for and not having to worry atall about repercussions".

    Ultimate game card codes
    EA game card codes.
    (both claim to work for UO on there respective sites)

    This is what I've done so far:

    Account migration snafu: I did nothing. I havent even looked at my account page yet.

    Result: Uninterupted access to game and all features ect.

    Account Codes: I did nothing. I entered no code information, no keys, nothing.

    Result: Zero frustration, blood pressure normal, ect.

    Come on yall!! We have all been to this rodeo in one way shape or form MANY times with this company. It is no surprise that everything gets botched, it happens EVERY time something major is changed, implemented, patched, what have you. You will barely hear any response from EA and you will just get pissy and ruin your evening.

    My advice: Wait until all the wrinkles are ironed out, and then wait some more. I am nobody in this game, you don't have to listen to me, but I have devoted a ton of time playing it over the years. There isn't hardly any new players in this game, we have been running this mouse maze for years and years.

    In summary, be patient, it will all get sorted out.

    right but what happens when one of your accounts that you play everyday stops working because of some billing error and there is no way to go into the site to fix it?

    i had to REPAY 12.99 cause the site FORGOT i already paid..
    they did supposedly give me a 90 day gtc so hopefully it works sometime.

    It is to stop people from attempting to brute force codes.

    A much cleaner method is to put up the captcha after 3+ failed attempts.

    Unfortunatly what you say aint true for all.
    I was doing the same as you, waiting till it all blowed over untill.....
    I got an email stating if i didnt update my billing info my acc would be cancelled.
    I updated......they took out of my bank the ammount for 2 of my accounts......2 weeks early from billing date then cancelled the same accounts.
    Also removed my access to master account from the same email my accounts and what they send notices from.
    Now stuck in limbo waiying for them to sort it out, none of this was my fault.

    My advice would be try now before they screw you up to, waiting as seems to be the case here just dont work, also causes worse problems because your then that far down the list of upset customers that you are gonna get an ETA on account sort out of like 2 weeks from ringing them.

    Don't risk it.

    Im sorry but this new system is still a total failure. I spent over 2.5 hrs with customer support tonight trying to get my game time codes that EA issued to me to work. Their lvl 2 csr said that they would have to have lvl 3 csr send me an email in 3-5 days to either give me a new codes or credit on my accounts. <-------- UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!!

    This makes somewhere around 14-16 hours I have spent on the phone or in their live chat trying to get my accounts up. Once again they tried to buy my happiness by offering me 20% off my next purchase at their uostore.

    Im sorry but after this mess I just cant justify spending another dime on any EA product until my orig problem is fixed!

    My time is valuable to me and unless someone pulls their head out of their ass I will be dumping everything I own in uo and calling it done after 13+ years. I have bought every upgrade every time something new came out, only to be crapped on by sub quality support!

    3+ weeks is more then enough time for them to either fix the system or revert it back to the old system until they have all the bugs worked out of this new crap!

    The bottom line is any game time code that was issued by EA during this mess will not work. This is what I was told tonight!

    I am past the point of patient as well.

    I got 2/3 of my codes from uogamecodes.com to work.

    Then my legacy token decided to not work.

    Spend an hour in live chat w/ CS reps to get it worked out.

    I was told "Code server is up but is having problems so it's not fully up, try again tomorrow" :gun::gun::gun:

    All I want to do is recieve items I payed for over two freaking weeks ago:shots:
