It's all about Stygian Abyss, five questions, and a man called Draconi.

could someone explain that last little bit there, please? (italics are mine)

With the release of SA, there will obviously be new events to participate in. With that in mind, are there plans to improve things technically to reduce the uber-lag that always goes hand in hand with the events?

You know, this is something I think we can do by more carefully structuring events.

I think many will remember the Trial of Ricardo being almost completely lag free, even with 100+ people gathered in the same room. We had written very specific control scripts to keep things calm, which massively reduced screen refreshes and network traffic. Compare that to the Mad Mage event, where there were over 400+ on screen at a time, which actually activated the dormant telestorming code. *I* got telestormed while I was trying to activate the code word to turn it on!

Please can doubleclicking a throwing weapon for hide and pile of wool.
Wow, that makes total sense, especially since they’re edged! -Draconi

That looks like a bonus Q&A.

  4. I've noticed that 75 Imbuing is required to build a soul forge. How are mule characters supposed to get to a soul forge to gain in Imbuing if the only entrance to Ter Mur is through a dungeon? It seems to be a very difficult trek for a character with no battle skills. Will it be possible to purchase soul forges from an "emissary" npc somewhere in Trammel or Malas?
I think we’re just going to change this to be a bit more reasonable.
    -Draconi

I hope this was written after the last patch and that they will be taking a good look at imbuing in general. For a mule it is now almost impossible to raise as they cannot kill the monsters to get everything they need.

It's another question he forgot to bold out.
    There. Fixed.

That last bit by Draconi is probably in reference to a comment he posted about a week or so ago in which there would be some sort of event that leads up to activating the gate that is currently there but unusable (in Ter Mur, outside the walls and grand stairway of the Royal City)

Funny this came up. I dropped two 100 point spring tickets on my house floor. 2 days later they are still there. I moved them to another floor. I bet they won't decay.

strange..... cause you can feed them.
and every other critter you can 'feed' you can bond.
that was allways the problem with golems, you cant feed them, hence you cant bond them.

if you cant bond these critters.... well what the heck is the use of having them????

Well I guess since I had a choice of Chemo and still being alive and item turn in, I would make the same choice.. I guess I'll keep my fingers crossed for another chance next spring to do the turn ins and will keep all my junk..still its good to be alive.

All the more reason to build a more rounded character instead of a defenseless "mule", or maybe engage in trade with a carpenter who has the skill to make soulforges. Besides which, it's all moot with the availability of runes. The first few people to train imbuing did so at the public forge & the bank and got to 75 just fine. Wasn't the intent to get people into the city?
