We want to hear what you have to say about Open Beta so far. Click HERE to take the survey.
So far I give SA a 2 out of 5. Until they fix cursor placement on screen, key mapping issues with Alt & Ctl, and the wacked out stacking issues, I'll be using KR instead of SA for crafting, and using the classic client for everything else. If they fix these problems, then I'll give SA another try, but not until then.
Tell it to the survey, not us!
Will we get to see a summary of the survey results? I find it interesting.
I did "tell it" to the survey. I just felt like sharing.
Question is, which part of the open beta is meant ....
I think they should have divided the questions for the expansion and for the Sa ... uhm ... enhanced client.
I can't even do the survey because I haven't tried most of that stuff. Overall I am a little let down by this expansion. There is nothing really game changing here. I was mostly looking forward to the PVP aspects which turned out to be just 2 areas in Felucca filled with champion spawns. With all the Faction related stuff I thought maybe there might be some of that tied into Stygian Abyss.
I don't understand this at all. If you haven't tried most of the expansion, how can you say there is nothing game changing or that you are let down? That's like going to a restaurant, ordering a salad and deciding you don't like the salad because they didn't put tomatoes on it, and leaving before the main course.
Listen here Mr. Survey thing!
If you read the survey....
Most of the questions you can tell them that you havent tried certain things. Id be honest about answering. Could be the deciding factor of what gets fixed/changed/added etc.
Obviously EA and/or Mythic want to know the communities opinion about "something".
Id make the survey happen in game (SA Client beta and SA content) to make it even more effective. I remember them doing a survey ingame once that gave a stat buff once completed.
Most of the questions are multiple choice and do have this option. Also there is room for feedback as well in the survey
Imbuing just lets you decide what goes on your equipment. Players who already have top equipment are mostly unaffected. If they added brand new properties or changed things up a bit, that might be something. They didn't.
Gargoyle is just a new race with some new tricks.
Mysticism is this week's Spellweaving.
New decorations, new dungeons, etc.
I was hoping for something that would bring PVP back to life which is what I focus on the most. Nothing I see is going to accomplish that. Mondain's Legacy probably had a bigger impact on PVP than this expansion will, which would be sad.
Sorry, but I focus on the PvM side as does about 90% of the UO population. I am glad this is NOT a PvP expansion. I find a lot to be excited about, which seems the things you don't like and have to disagree with your assessment. To each his/her own likes or dislikes, but I don't think you are giving the expansion a fair evaluation.
I think the expansion is great and as for the pvp part I agree with old man pvp is a very small part of this game
Wasnt there a fix for stacking last patch? (when SA content went into open beta)
yes there was
Developers stated a couple years ago now that 25% of subscribers play UO only to PVP. So it is certainly a much larger base than you guys think it is.
hmm I would like to hear from them about that then because I dont believe its anywere near 25% now..
Ok, so one down out of 3. That leaves 2 left before I'll even consider giving it another chance.
The survey is a good idea, but it looks like it can be done by anyone, even without a UO account.
People who hate the game and who have quit but are still interested can skew the results. Stuff like this survey should be on the EA website and require a UO account to take the survey.
