The US Wrath of the Lich King beta has begun and invites are now being sent out.
    From this post by Nethaera:
The Wrath of the Lich King invitations have started to go out, and we have officially begun the beta test. As with The Burning Crusade, the beta-test process for Wrath of the Lich King will occur in phases, during which we will be inviting players who have opted-in to participate. https://www.worldofwarcraft.com/account/beta-opt-in.html?ticket=ST-340

Players who have been invited to participate in the beta test will need to create a temporary Blizzard Account by visiting here: https://beta.worldofwarcraft.com/account/creation/start.xml
For more information on the Wrath of the Lich King beta test, please read the FAQ. https://beta.worldofwarcraft.com/expansion/faq.html
The Europe beta is still in limbo at the moment as the current sign up page is still being tested by their QA department. You can read their announcement here:
We'd just like to make it clear that EU testers must use the EU beta installation and client download, and not the US one. Additionally, please do not follow the instructions on the US page about a "Blizzard account" as this doesn't, at this time, apply to EU beta testers.
The page for downloading the EU version is still being run through internal QA, and so is not quite available yet. Once the correct EU beta download page is up and running, it will explain exactly the process you need to go through to obtain the client software.
At the moment, the URL will show the alpha sign-up and client, which is not the one you need to download. So unfortunately, we just need to hang on a bit longer! ;-)
The EU client will be available from this page:
