How can I place on bag/box on a vendor so that customers cannot see what's in side the bag/box ? Also wondering how to manage a vendor lottery.
    Thanks

You can't place a container in a vendor that can't be looked inside of.

The only way I know of doing a lottery is to use books sealed with red leaves, in code. The book will have two codes in it - one is the number (different each book for the drawing itself), the other is a confirmation code not given out to the public, that will allow for verification by the person running the drawing.

Does locked boxes on a vendor still prevent players from browsing the contents?

Of course, you'd need to swap your stuff around just before/after server maintenance to prevent folks from buying them up after last save and finding out which are the goodie boxes.

Last I checked, you could open up locked and trapped paragon chests on a vendor, without picking or triggering the trap, to look at the contents. I believe it's the same for player-made ccontainers. It's been that way for at least 5 years.

Ahh, right. I use the same trick using my packies to browse TOT chests. Oh well, that kills the idea.

I was considering selling keys to locked boxes that are secured. Since it's locked down and locked, the buyers can't see into it. Seller still has to be careful with weight and item count.

But I guess a lockpicker would have a field day...No way to prevent the boxes from being picked while allowing the key owner to open them right? What about GM Tinkered Explosion traps?

To a determined lockpicker death isn't much of a deterrent. They'd pick the chest, pop the traps (healing between chests if they don't die), rez (if necessary) and come back for the loot. That's basically how my crate thief does his stealing. I don't bother disarming the traps, I just set them off and heal if I take any damage.
