Everyone should take a 5 second pause on this momentous day to thank all the military members that have fought for and protected the freedoms we so greatly enjoy and often times take for granted on a daily basis.

I would like to personally thank all the UO players out there that are serving and/or have served in the US armed forces.

I want to reply to this: 1) to say Thank you to ALL Veterans who might be reading this and 2) to post the most awesome song lyrics.

The song is "Till The Last Shot's Fired" recorded by country singer Trace Adkins and written by Rob Crosby and Doug Johnson. This is just such a awesome about soldiers and veterans. It brought tears to my eyes first tim I heard it. Trace Adkins just does a fantastic job on this song. The first performance and the recording of this song was done with the Armed Forces Choir.

    Here it is:

There are a lot of vets that have played UO over the years.
I remember when there were changes to houses dropping when many players were overseas not that long ago.

Thanks to all of you on Veterans Day.

I toowould like to thank all those Vets out there for the sacrafices they have made. I myself have put in 6 years of military service as Air Assault and Biological and Chemical decontamination specialist. I have never been in combat but have the greatest respect for those that have. This is your day folks and we not only respect but Greatly appreciate you all!

Yes, Thank you very much everyone that has served.

Not many people understand this but vetrens give us everything that we have.
From the food on our tables to the games that we play, because without freedom we have nothing. Quite litterally.

Don't read it anymore. It will eventually slip away. I honer those Veterans before me and those that served after.

I hope those that serve now will become Vets and enjoy this day.

Veterans Day is a day of celebration. Those men and women came home.

Memorial Day we will refect on the loss and selfless sacrafices made.

While somewhat off topic, it is meaningful to many.

    *salutes*

A heartfelt thank you to all our men and women who made sacrifices so others would not have to. To the families of our veterans, thank you as well for lending us your sons, daughters, fathers, mothers. Freedom truly isn't free so thank you for our freedoms hard fought and hard won.

*smiles* Apples and oranges. Marines do their thing. Seals do theirs. Qualified Marines can become Seals. Those two are entwined. Did you know every medic with the Marines is a Navy guy?

To my fellow brothers and sisters, may God keep you safe and bring you home one day.
Kelmo Thank you for saying that.

Jirel of Joiry, Kelmo may not want to say it but I will. Marines want to be Seals, but no Seal ever wanted to step down to be a Marine. Navy Seals are the best of the best.

Yes, thanx to all the soldiers, past and present.

This movie is something I stumbled across awhile back. Some may find it interesting since it ties into all things war.

Thanks to all who support our vets, it actually goes both ways from the perspective of those of us who served. Whose tougher? This is kind of a "silly" argument, roles/ responsibility/ training are very different, and circumstance for employment of all "type" forces vary greatly. Be assured, the support soldiers who find themselves under direct fire sans the training, equipment and mutual support I had consistently, are in a very dire and uncomfortable situation indeed. Bravery knows no branch of service, job title, or rank. I'm an old Army Airborne Ranger type with some time on the "dark side," and have worked closely with both our Marines and SEALs. From a physical toughness perspective, no one, including my guys, are "collectively" as "fit" as our SEALs. Likewise, they are not capable of many of the things the fellas on my side of the street are. So in a world where all things are executed correctly, the right folks get assigned to do the things they're best suited for. At the end of the day, and I did this business for 24 years, all truely are equal contributors, none of us could do what we do without the others. Hope that helps a little.

Without "waving my patriotic card", you are welcome. 12 year vet, 3 in the gulf. I would do it again if I could, and I don't think many that served would rather have not. There is a sense of pride in knowing you did your part, that nothing can replace nor take away.
