Just a FYI if you ship in Trammel scuttled it's victor from DC* and a guy named Superspot from DC* doing it. I watched him trash a few just thought I'd let everyone know.

There has been a LOT of ship skuttling and Pirate killing done by MANY guilds. pointing the finger when you are also to blame is childish. I had Y and BR killing my pirates. and i know i have seen BR blowing up ships too.

B*R is only scuttling DC* ships in tram. This is in retaliation to the attacks they have done on many. As far as pirates goes, sure.

I personally nor anyone ever on my boat has killed a pirate from anothers ship or scuttled a ship I could care less is anyone scuttles mine just have some respect and don't be a coward doing it while I'm not on if you're so tough do it while I am on it. I am B*R and proud of it. I am a helpful and thoughtful player as many who have interacted with me know. I see it as a group of pathetic people who are cowards and think they are something more.

The problem at hand is that the guild leaders and members of ANY guild need to remember that their actions reflect on the guild (whatever one that may be) as a whole. If you have several 'problem' players in your guild that do things like this, then yes... sadly you will be tagged with the reputation as being part of a 'problem guild' and other people MAY take caution in their interactions with you.

It is up to the respective guild leaders to be accountable for their guild mates and utilize a best approach in dealing with others who may be a blotch on their guilds name. Unless, of course, that is the kind of reputation they want in the first place.

Not singling out any one person or guild, just adding my .02.

Well it's one thing to take it too far pretty slick releasing the mares on my boat to kill me when I recalled in now that is uncalled for.

B*R was NOT only scuttling DC* ships. One B*R in particular, was killing the pirates of EVERYONE. DC* or NOT.

And as far as the scuttling of ships goes... I myself saw DC* members scuttling the ships of others... and I also spoke to at least 2 people who had their boats scuttled by DC*.... neither of whom were in any guild at all... and both very upset.

And we all wonder why so many people quit UO and there are fewer and fewer players in it.... Hum... Could it be that those who are doing all this are the ones driving off all the players??? Who's more childish???

And we wonder why UO is losing players left and right... Poor coding, pushing publishes and clients and boosters out WAY before they are ready, the lack of customer support, ugly outdated graphics... Childish players who enjoy nothing more than ruining the gameplay of others... foul language filling up the chat... people who come to events just to make fun and ruin them... Need I go on???

Isn't it bad enough that we have to put up with all the bugs and other game issues??? Do we seriously have to be making things worse by acting like a bunch of elementary school kiddies???

Is it not bad enough that the customer service stinks?

    Come on people... grow up.

    And that's my two cents.

    You guys crack me up.

You realize that Trammel promotes this type of greifing?

In tram you can't do anything about it.

In fel ruleset you just kill them.

And before someone makes the trite suggestion that the answer to this is Felucca, let me point out that this isn't true. Sure, you could kill an attempted griefer in Fel, but a given griefer could, and will, bring overwhelming numbers to help. Human nature being the wretched beast that it is, it's always easier to get overwhelming numbers to do bad than to do good. Also, if a griefer cheats in one aspect of the game, what are the odds of that griefer not cheating in another? Assuming he breaks the rules in more than one area of the game, in a PvP situation he just has another advantage.

Not really a numbers thing, more of a skill thing. Better players get the kills.

They're still getting the kills now, onyl in your current environment you can't do anything about it :(

Any PvPer of any experience or skill whatsoever, as I know you are Lynk, knows that skill does not always carry the day.

Skill helps, but so do numbers (assuming you can not get in each other's way), and so does luck, and so does a whole host of factors. (And for the moment we're screening out cheats entirely!)

I've beaten people who are better than me, I've lost to people worse, I've lost with superior numbers, I've won by myself against groups.

If only one factor mattered all the time? Well, I don't think PvPers would keep PvPing. I think what they like most is the unpredictability, whether they admit it or not. (I PvP for my own reasons, which will stay my own.)

In a situation like this? Well, I look at as similar to the old thief house key stealing. Numbers are pretty much the only thing that matters; the fact that you can kill the thief, or in this case the pirate kill stealer, doesn't matter when he's got 20 friends guarding him.

Both issues, pirate kill stealing and scuttling in Trammel, will be dealt with in the Publish 68.3 anyway.

I'm definitely waiting until that fix before I try to solo a pirate ship, which I want to do for particular RP reasons.

I'm assuming that you don't mean to imply that the kill stealers are also better players; they might well be, but stealing a pirate kill or scuttling a ship in Trammel is definitely not a good way to tell.

And yes, others are still getting the kills and I can't do much....But how much could I do about it if, say, I was by myself, and they had 20 mages in the boat. Or 10 mages. Or 5.

Let's be serious here 99.9 percent of the time when this griefer has killed a pirate he was alone all by himself on his ship. So let's not talk numbers really when particular guilds are overpowering people with numbers if you have one person taking your guild for a ride then that is quite pathetic.

Lets gets something strait right the frick now. I kill your pirates solo. Its not a guild. Its not 20 odd people. If you cant out maneuver or out shoot a solo player than you shouldn't have a pirate on your ship to begin with. IT IS SAD that so many people have to inflate the numbers to look like they were ganked upon when in truth they just suck and cant play worth a crap.
