What is this "amnesty" program I've been hearing about? I have a free sim in ea-land that was registered before March 8th, will it still get whatever this program will do, or do I need to subscribe?

Also, I used to play awhile ago and came back to find my old sim is gone (used to live in AV) is this program going to bring my sim back?

    Sorry for the noobish questions.
  2. Hmmm...I thought it was for those who subscribe, not just register for a free account. Anyone know for sure?

As for what it is, they are giving your account the gifts you would have had up to the time of your account. 1 year of an active account, no matter when it was would get you the 1 yr gift, if you had your account active 2 years over the past 5 years, you'd get 1 & 2 yr gifts and so on.
I believe the skill locks will go by account age (entitlement days) as well, instead of sim age.
You won't get your old sims back, but you will get what your sim would have earned through the date your account was active.

And the March 8th date, is not what the email said, somehow March 2008 got turned into March 8th around here lol. [IMG]

Ohh I see, thanks, but does anyone else know if it will work for free accounts?

Yes we were told it would work for free accounts too, since returning players culd reactivate their account for free to qualify for amnesty, if they had done so before the deadline. That was in the e-mail that was sent out to all players who had de-activated accounts.
