What would this be worth on your shard?

Okay so I found this woodland gorget....

    Hit Chance Increase 5%
    Lower Reagent Cost 18%
    Physical Resist 20%
    Fire Resist 19%
    Cold Resist 17%
    Poison Resist 20%
    Energy Resist 7%

Adding up the resists here, its 83% Plus the 5% hci. Its imbued and at 99 duarbility.

There is one that is exactly the same instead of 5% hci its 10% di...

Are these worth 12m a piece?

I suppose with repairing as long as it dont goto 0 and I dont let the message "your equipment is extremely damaged" message come, it will last a long time only losing 1 durability per repair.

Just wondering if this is worth it? What is a good price to find one of these for?

  2. Now with imbuing, the pricing-vs-true-worth of items have to be completely relooked at, on a case-by-case basis.

It may be argued that the cost of an item = the cost of the ingredients (including those wasted due to failed attempts) of the imbuing process.

So you can base on this formula to calculate the approximate pricing/worth of the item.

But really, now with imbuing, it's better to design your own suit from scratch, and get your crafter & imbuer (or if you don't have one yourself, pay another player to imbue for you) to craft and imbue the required pieces as per your design.

The item in question has LRC 18. If that's fine by your design, then its fine and could still be worth 12 mil or whatever. But if you require 20 LRC (eg. because you're using non-imbued non-LRC arties that take up several equipment slots) for the gorget slot, then the gorget is completely worthless.

Imbuing is the greatest thing that has happened to UO. (Someone on my shard, Alpha, said, "Imbuing has spolit the market. UO is ruined". His entitled to his opinion. Personally, I think imbuing has saved UO.)

Oh yea, Imbuing is great, I love it. On my shard I made a superslayer for every champ spawn out of radiant scimitars and if cold could be used, I broke down a soul seeker and turned it into a different slayer.

Got a soul seeker Demon Slayer
Got a Soul Seeker Dragon Slayer
    A Soul Seeker Reptile Slayer
    A Soul Seeker Spider slayer
    A Soul Seeker Arachnid Slayer
    A Soul Seeker Gargoyle Slayer

One might argue that why not use the super slayer instead of the specific ones that target specific mobs, well single slayer really do a lot more dmg than the supers in a lot of cases. That was another nice move by the devs.

But back to the subject at hand, what is a fair price for this as a general item?

I didn't try to make it, but off hand it doesn't look worth 12Mgold. It has 5 properties so 120 imbuer probably made it. The LRC 18% is cheap and all those resists use boura pelts, which is fairly cheap.

The person probably enhanced it with heartwood for the extra 5% HCI.

Find a friendly imbuer if you want that and get them the Boura pelts. They will probably make it for you for cheap.

    Im counting 6 mods...

    4 Resists + LRC + HCI

Im guessing that if you went to 20 lrc it would be worth a ton more.

it's 5 mods Plus the enhance, they didn't imbue 5hci so you don't count it when talking about what the imbuer did.

  7. For 12m I bet I can train an imbuer myself and have money left for imbueing pieces, which would be better than spending 12m on one piece. I wouldn't buy anything imbued with 99 durability, unless it's really cheap and I don't intend to use it in combat. Even at 120 skill and more than half durability I sometimes lose a point, it just wouldn't be worth it unless I can repair it 255 times.

No mage armor makes this item a waste.

12 mill for this item? LOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!

OK, now that I got the laughing out of my system let me tell you why this is so simple and CHEAP to make.

They imbue'd 4 resists properties and lrc onto it. That consists of boura pelts and faery dust, both easy to obtain.

The 5% hci comes from being enhanced with heartwood. Heartwood has a random property added when successful. Hence why you seen an identical pair with 10% di. Go look heartwood up on www.uoguide.com.

So all in all, they had to hunt a few bouras, a few faery dragons, and enhance with heartwood...pretty simple and cheap IMO. :)

No dust was used at 18% and lower LRC. Get that straight.

The pelts collected doing the High Plains Boura quest once or twice per gorget maybe.

Would have to check to see if the +5HCI is counted as one of the possible 5 mods allowed. If it is then all the Imbuing had to be done first with the high break potential enhancing. Wether imbued before or after. The HCI/DI property is a random effect as is mage armor.

I think a player made theese till they got one with mage armor. Reason for the LRC. Ones made with HCI or DI are just a by-product of wanting a specific piece. As nice as it is the Pendant of the Magi is, it handicaps collecting parts for a great suit. With Imbuing a great suit can be built around a few arty items. No Need to have two packies full of val hammers to make the parts that fit. LOL

If the enhancing can be done before Imbuing on my Luna vendors no more then 300k. If not, maybe twice that. Considering that they have the same set of resist there had been a load of breaking going on enhancing. I've always priced my items on the reward vs. effort and not that I can rip off someone that has no clue on boring crafting. Getting the heartwood was the hardest part of this creation.

So basicly this was imbue then enhanced but the enhance was a high breakable probability?

QFT, I was reading though this thread wondering until I hit your post if anyone was going to pick up on that.

No, it's not, looks like a cheap imbue for the resists and LRC and then enhanced with heartwood for HCI

As others have posted non-meditable with 18 lrc it's worthless as it looks like it was tailored to a elf chiv dexter or so as thats the only one that would like lrc on that piece though will be a trouble sell and never at that price I say someone like that would probably only give like 50k or so if that and by the time it sells the vender fees would of ate that 50k up lol.

So far the priceing of items is still out of wack and will be as such for the next year or so untill everyone figures out what sells and how much comp they have. Unless of course another system is introduced before the market stabalize to make things easier or harder, common or rarer this will determine the future prices on all these items.

This was made with the hope that the heartwood would hit for mage armor. Useing the boura pelts are a waste of time as the break rates are beyond absured.

This item was pre enhance 18 16 15 13 5 and LRC 18, IMO a wasted bunch of mods spent on resist.

    Hail Friend,

Not to take away from your point, because that is right on target if you want something for 12M gold, but if it were rather cheap it would be fine for a crafter that doesn't meditate.

...not that a carpenter shouldn't meditate and be one with the trees...

I make stuff like that without the 5% HCI for my crafters now and don't insure it. I think the 600 gold is more than the piece is worth.

I just tryed to make some. Breakage is terrible, from 10 gauntlets i got just 2 enhanced. But overall, items can be a bit better than leather armor.

While these are nice if you wanted to hunt for the HCI or DMG increase you'd be doing it for a good while. I have been busting these for the last 3 days trying to make 21 stat increase ones for my sampire and so far have once hit for damage increase:
    Gloves 5 HPI, 8 Stam and Mana, 10 DMG with 14 13 17 22 7.

Now I've been trying to hit for the arms to replace HPR2 ones I made....
