Which one would be the "switch" skill?

    Hi,
    I have been reading through a lot of all the sampire threads and decided to basically follow the usual skills build but:

    I really would love to have the possibility to switch in (soulstones) usable resisting spells or healing values if I think I need them.

    Now my question here is which to replace really.
    Since in most builds now parry is at 60 (for the 300), this is not really an option for switching (cause I really want more than 60 healing or resist when I switch).

    I guess I could switch out 120 anatomy for 120 resist, lowering damage output and of course leeching. But this of course is not an option for healing cause healing without anatomy won´t do me any good.

    The only thing I came up with:

    Parry to 90 real (this would be a value where I think switching in resist or healing would make sense).

    This would mean I have 51 real chiv only (1 point coming from having 99 necro). I could run both jewels with 15 chiv getting me to 81 which means I will be at 47% from EoO and 100% consecrate weap. I would be ok with the chiv value.

    Other option would be to leave parry at 60 and have 81 real chiv (chiv is prolly not an option for switching) and imbue 2 sets of jewels, one with 30 healing and one with 30 resist (and of course have 60 healing and resist on stone).

    Now, please don´t tell me that healing and/or resist are not needed on a samp. I agree, for most things they are probably not. But let´s just say I want to have the option :).

    Most would not consider healing essential to this temp and therefore switch out anatomy for resist based on the mobs. In this case you’re in a kind of bind unless you’re willing to go all the way with healing and then swap that one out for resist. It’s not really a great build for the swap because much like a traditional dexxer things are so strongly linked. You might be able to swap out bushido occasionally but I would be hesitant to do that for the damage loss as well as the usefulness of the spells. Could you list all the skills you are planning on having that you are sure you want then folks here could try and figure out the best method of swapping them out over all.

    Well, skills would be:

    120 weapon (probably macing, have the others as well)
    120 bush
    120 tact
    120 anatomy (switch for resist if needed?)
    99 necro

    and rest is either:

    Version 1:
    90 parry (swap for healing if needed)
    51 chiv (+30 from jewels)

    or:

    Version2 (lynks temp I think):
    60 parry
    81 chiv (could raise with jewels - but for me the 3% difference between 81 and 84 are not essential)

    Version1:
    would probably mean that I lose properties on the jewels for having to run with 30 skill points but it would let me have parry at a real value worth switching for healing if needed.

    Version2:
    no skill points on jewels needed but nothing really to swap healing for if I want it (60 healing - swapped for parry - just not high enough to be useful).
    Now I COULD run version 2 and have special made jewels with 30 healing (and have 60 on stone). This may be the easiest way....

    It would depend on how much you think you’re going to use healing. For most I have never found a use for healing on a sampire but if your going in group hunts with folks without healing then it might be useful. I would guess that either is viable and you should have some extra mods available on your jewels if you build your suit right. Either would work. I myself wouldn't bother with the healing option but if you want it should be viable.

    Never touch:
    120 weapon
    120 bushido*
    120 tactics*
    100 necro
    n chivalry

    Swap from:
    100 anat
    100 heal
    60/100 parry*
    100 resist
    100 ss

    * for flexibility you may want to have less than the maximum skill here. Just remember you want weapon + bushido + parry to = 300+ if going for mana discount.

    Basically, you have to decide what level of chivalry and whether you want the mana discount on special moves.

    An easy recommendation that would work well is
    120 weapon / 110 bushido / 100 tact / 100 necro / 90 chiv / 100 x / 100 y
    where x and y are two skills from my swap in list above. I strongly prefer 110 bushido over 100 for 100% chance to momentum strike.
