Why are we impatient?

    I read a lot of complaints about the lag. People even say they'll close their accounts. Because of a week of lag? Come on! This is a temporary technical issue which WILL be resolved.

    I read posting about people who want feedback from the EM application. The applications just closed. When you apply for a job, it usually takes 2-8 weeks before you get a reply. Why should it be any different here?

    I read people complaining about event content. Nobody there to fight Sicarii? Only one or two people farming gossamer? Well, it isn't the Event Designer's fault. It is ours! If you don't find people to fight Sicarii, maybe it is time to start caring about player communities more, instead of trying to solo everything?

    It would be different if they would actually address the issue. Several threads and not one word from EA/Dev team... last update was a FOF. It is TUESDAY and not even a word about them trying to fix it or anything...

    I WOULD BE FIGHTING SICARII IF I WASN'T LAGGING CONSTANTLY! Sorry. Little upset here. I LOVED these events when I could play them. Was soooooo looking forward to last weekend only to find that I couldn't play because of lag. Impatient? 2 weeks now of this? Will, I get a refund? I don't think so. I wouldn't be upset if a DEV WAS IN CONSTANT CONTACT WITH US ABOUT THIS. I know my closed accounts don't mean much to EA, but my 50.00 per month that I spend for my family and I to play can be much better used at this time.

    Sorry we pay for the service! We have the right of expecting good working servers, and what i have heard the lag problems are not only since yesterday.

    agreed and the FOF update was two weeks ago

    the bigger issue here is EA's response, which has been little at best. THis is pi** poor customer service...

    People want to know that the issue is at least being addressed....however, ignoring even the posts here is really causing the imaptience

    I find it hard to believe that the obvious action of just mentioning updates is escaping the attention of EA
     
  8. If I am paying for a service and that service is not fullfilled AND I am not told why or what they are doing to fix it...then yes I do feel I have the right to complain.

    Speaking only for myself. I am impatient with the lag, pretty much only that. And I am so because the lag is preventing me from experiencing the content, which is really cool.

    As someone else said on another post, it's not the devs, ok?
    Also, they don't need to be in contact EVRYDAY.....the players, ansy lil suckers that they are, conformed past devs into bowing at evry boo-hoo that came along, and a good majority of players got spoiled.

    Chill out already. Personally, the lag has helped me get other things done in life, that UO keeps me from doing. Also, I, for one, am not having withdrawls, or freaking out.

    I will not run out and buy another game just to satisfy my need to sit on my backside and get fat, while I mindlessly stare at a screen.

    Can you imagine how many players would totally freak out, maybe even become institutionalized, should the internet suddenly collapse?? (yeah, society would be screwed), but ya catch my drift?

    later.....reality calls.

    If lag is helping you get things done in rl then you have a problem. UO shoud not take away from your real life it's a fun hobby that is it.

    I feel very sorry for you if this lag actually is allowing you to do stuff irl and you was not able to do it before...

    LOL yea we are just spoiled, were paying for basicly nothing. Next time your cars under warranty and goes into the shop, I hope the service dept tells you, your just spoiled because you expect your car to work.

    Well considering we're paying to use something that is fairly unusable... I'd say we're justified.

    People have every right to complain about the lag. It makes the game unplayable and we're paying to play.
    We want them to know how many people are having problems and we want them to tell us what the deal is and if it's going to be fixed anytime soon.

    It is starting to look more and more like a bean counter cut costs by cutting the bandwidth, just like they sacked staff recently.

    It may not effect you now, but when the bean counter proves that they can cut costs this way, whats to stop them from doing the same thing to the connection that you use.
