Why do so many people use made from valorite weapons? I play a mage and its pointless to even try verse these types, combine these weapons with spammed special moves and the game is totaly unbalanced. Im really glad you banned some of the people that duped these hammers but by not removing the weapons themselfs the game it really loopsided now. Please give us players that dont use illeagle items a break and remove the weapons created this way.

    thanks

  2. I don't believe theres anyway to trace something like that. And if there was it would affect many innocent players who spent millions to buy these hammers. Seriously how are you suppose to know if the hammer you bought was duped? And secondly the weapons that can be made by the hammers, are as intended. So even if you could take some of them away, there would still be plenty floating around, especially in pvp because players pay good money to have the best gear to pvp in.

If you have max dci and a supporting weapon skill, not to mention parry you will not need to come here and whine about good weapons. It is hard enough for a dexer to land a hit against another char with these skills without making their weapons less effective.

    3 things:

    1. A weapon "Made from Valorite" is made with valorite ingots (which people also do, but is a waste of valorite ingots). You really mean "Weapons Made By Valorite Runics".

    2. There's no way to identify the weapons by the source of the hammer, though as a crafter, it wouldn't break my heart to see all weapons made by known purchasers of duped hammers (regardless of who owns them) go poof, as they will always be exceptional, and exceptional weapons have the crafter's tag (probably even if it's not displayed). I NEVER buy runics - I EARN them myself.

    3. And, people wonder why so many others don't like PvP... The simple fact is that the central theme to almost all dupes in UO, has always been to generate thousands of times more "high-end" gear illegally for PvP. Even a lot of the scripts and exploits exist to get resources for library donations for those high-end items, materials to fill duped BODs, to burn with duped runics, or to sell to those that do, in order to get the gold to BUY the illegal items generated (which is why the non-combat uber-rares are duped). It's a self-feeding monster. If you want balance in PvP, it should be made where all gear is treated as plain-jane exceptional quality in PvP (unless its resists are worse).

If that were to happen then everybody would play a tamer mage....

    That's funny, inspector....

I don't PvP, and have 18 characters - and the one I play the least is my tamer (maybe 24 hours playing time total for the character on an account created and given to me in March 2003). At this rate, he should be GM Taming about 2025.

You keep falling into the "I have to do what's fast, not enjoyable, to farm for my PvP purchases" trap.

Most people don't fine taming fun, until the skills are maxed. In fact, training taming in one of the few not-linkable-to-PvP(or PvP item creation) illegal scripts I've even heard mentioned.

And, as for PvPers all becoming tamer mages - isn't the biggest cry right now among PvPers is to get rid of tamers in PvP?
