Why would you put 120 imbue on your mystic?

    I dropped 120 imbue on my mystic mage and am seeing no difference in the spell damage at all. I thought adding imbue added to spell power?

    The details are here. It doesn't affect spell damage as far as I can see from reading that.

    It only helps the following spells:

    healing stone
    enchant
    stone form
    spell trigger
    rising colossus

    I suppose I'm seeing it backwards... I have 120 mysticism on my Imbuer...

    Why? Well.... so he can defend himself...

    Wish mysticism had some form of travel but .... it sure works nice.

    That's what I also heard.. If it only affects a few spells that are not useful.. Bah waste of skill!!:sad3:

    I will just put it back on my garg crafter. I threw it on my pvp mage to see if it was like the "eval intel" for mysticism, as it was proposed.

    Apparently, we were "misdirected" about this function of the skill.

    120 imbue and 120 myst = very powerful colossus
    also makes enchant weapon 50%
    stone form gives 75 in all resists
    gives more spells for spell trigger
    the colossus is worth it i can drop one on ogre lord isle and he takes out ogre lord and usually kills a second one

    Rising colossus is worthless without imbuing. Period.

    Also, for a pvp mage, enchant is an amazing spell with high mysticism and imbuing. You can add spell channeling and a hit+50 spell to any weapon that doesn't already have a hit spell on it.

    I'm running around with a bow that has 7 maxed out mods because I have imbuing on my mystic.

    As I recall, the colossus' skills an average of Myst/Imbue/Eval
    With 90/80/115 it could easily take out an Ogre Lord.

    Ogre lords, sure. They don't cast dispel.

    Balrons and other tough magic casting creatures is when having mysticism and imbuing at their cap is invaluable.

    Indeed, 120 imbue is great for a mystic. I highly enjoy having a spell triggered Cleansing winds handy. and a healing stone on top of that if needed

    If I were PvMing on this character, I could see the use of the skill points, from the information posted so far.

    But..for a PvP environment, it does not look like a good use of skill points, as there seems to be no advantage or damage increase from the general damage spells.

    Inscribe or Spirit Speak offer more advantages.

    Unfortunate.

    ya, but your forgetting that those big brutes you can cast can walk right into a private home and squish the guys hiding in there.

    that in itself is worth the waste of all those points.

    7 maxed out mods on a weapon isn't a good use of the skill points for a mage who uses weapons in their template?

    As far as I can see, necro and SS have gone the way of spawn workers only.
