I am in the process of creating a mage with a tight template. In short i was curious as to the wrestling defense. I realize that 120 wrestling is the best, but I can fit only 90 wrestling on. Is 90 wrestling an effective enough defense vs dexxers? This is a pvp template and the suit I have constructed has 48 dci. I know that hit lower defense will drop me down and i will get hit more. I do not have mage weapons, and the template doesnt really call for it, as the bonus's on my book are key. I have considered the 80 anat 120 eval thing, but the idea of being able to disarm and stun punch appeals to me. So all you wrestlers out there... Is 90 wrestle doable, or would i be better off going with 80 anat and using that extra 10 points to boost another skill? Or is there another alternative that I do not know of?

    ((Anatomy + Eval) / 2) + 20

So Anatomy of 80 and Eval 120 is the same defensive value as 120 Wrestle.

Now if I could only Find a 120 Eval scroll on LS. :(

I understand thats 120 wrestling defensive evasion, but is the 120 defense more benefical then being able to disarm/stun blow. I guess thats more the question, is that sacrifice in defense made up by the specials?

I worked up a inscribe mage a few years ago. Wrestling was the last skill I worked up. I didn't notice much of a difference until I reached 115 wrestling. I noticed that I disarmed much more frequently and that dexxers started having a more difficult time hitting me.

If your going to be fighting a lot of dexxers I'd recommend going as high as possible with wrestling. This will be your primary defense vs any template that uses a weapon including archers.

Good Luck & Good Hunting
