20 Easy Fixes & Updates

During the changes to the game over the years alot of items that were good were either taken out or deglected, such as the tribal spear.

Alot of these items were nerfed and are now worthless, at least worthless to me. There is no reason to hunt tribal spears or tribal masks. There are thousands of items like this in the game. They need to fix each item and make them desirable instead of worthless junk no one cares about.

Fix ash runics to give slayer properties with no weight added.

Allow runics to have sliding scales, so some have more uses than others.

Place 20 speed on all Fel weps, so if a wep spawns with 30 it will now have 50.

Create more ways to get resources and add more resources, similar to the fire beetle or poison elemental.

Fix leather and smith hammer runics, so you can make an all 70's suit, lower reagant, much easier.

Fix all the armour sets so you can use them. You will know they are useable when the templates they are made for use them or just delete them because they take up lockdowns.

Virtues should last longer, they should only diminish when used.

Add spawns, times 1, to spice up all the old hunting spaces.

Add a type of Para in Fel.

Pets should not lose skill so drastically, .1 a death is good.

Training of skills on pets should be based on the tamers skill, vet/tame/lore.

Stats on pets should be trainable to the caps, caps based on skill.

Pets should heal and cure you, add all protect-target.

Plants should give seeds again after a few days and you should be able to repolinate them. Plants could have age added.

All plant life in game should give resources, seeds, petals, apples, etc...

    Make arties worth getting.

Fix orc bows, fix orc mask, fix chopper axe.

Just by making simple changes to items or adding random properties people will once again hunt for them. Sreading out some of the items would also cause people to search for them. For example, if there would be a post saying crimson cinctures would be found on ettins today, there would not be one living ettin in the game.

If it only takes a couple of minutes to alter items then I suggest changing all of them to make them useable. If people are not using them then they need to be changed. :twak:

To just say something fails is not an answer. If you have no reason behind why you think it would fail then please do not post on my threads. These forums are for discussion, not to say whether the idea is good or bad but to talk about why they might be good or why they might be bad.

Experimenting and trying new things seems to be a great fear of the devs or whoever controls the content, constantly keeping the game down because an item might actually be useable. I do not understand this logic. What is failing is people are not interested in those items.

Do this experiment, every day for 7 days, take a box and hide it with a very valuable item inside, then give people hints and clues to where the box is hidden. At the end of 7 days you will find there are more people than there were on day 1.

Now try this with a tribal spear.

There, now you have the justification on why the previous responder put "FAIL" throughout your post.
  6. IMO there are too many items in the game. Fixing some is a good idea, eliminating others should also be considered.

Nope things are way too easy as it is. Could make all 70's suit without breaking a sweat already and see how worthless they become because of it. Theres no more wow that guy got that nice suit! Now it's just oh well I got like a dozen of them. Nothing to shoot for nothing to accomplish makes things pretty boring. Test center means nothing cause you can have everything without any work.

Perhaps fix them but delete them is not a option people like collecting and if they don't want to lock them down they don't have to.

If that would happen there would be a hundread thousand extra crimson culture that day making them worth less to be droped in the ground for pick up. Hard to come items need to be kept hard to come or they are worth less.
This is not a pvp only game where people only fight each other. Matter of fact pvp has the least amount of players in it. The rest of the community range from merchants, pvm, collectors, rpg, and who knows what else that don't pvp at all. So unlike games like unreal tournament, battlefied and the like this game is a rpg where you are always working and increasing your levels and items just for the challenge of increasing your character and possesions not to compete with another player but to just have fun on the journey.

Wow... your list looks more like it would make things too easy in the game. LRC suits shouldn't be easy to make or acquire... if they were... you might as well get rid of regs entirely and let the alchemists use the suits too?

Also... I agree with stopping the spawning of certain items. Old items that are just not used anymore. Don't bother with reworking a tribal spear or mask... no one will use it. Just stop them from spawning and the ones that are in the game become old school rares to be passed around till there are none left. That would go the same for a lot of the older in game items. But deleting them would be sooo wrong. Some people like them for deco... or just to have... so let them keep them but not be able to get new ones.

Other than that... you have completely disregarded play style in some of your suggestions... and in others... they are just not feasible. Sorry... I understand your frustration in the game... and changes do need to be made... but lets not make it so there is nothing to work for anymore... :)

Oh wha wha! The game is not easy enough for me ...... wha wha I don't have 12 billion in gold wha wha.!!!!!

The DEV's should just give me everything I want in my bankbox from the instant I create my character and I should NOT have to work for anything cause I should just be able to fully adjust my skills and cheat at everything cause I want it......

    Get serious.

Learn to play.... sounds to me like you don't really want to do anything... or you want everything handed to you on a silver platter.... well ...... I don't.... I want to play the game.

Some CHALLENGE is meant to be in the game... don't dumb it up and make it so easy it's no longer fun and there is nothing to strive for.

Bugs and exploits will never be fixed. There will always be someone who will find a way to exploit the game, like the abuse of its' economy. You could fix 10 thousand bugs today, get them all fixed up, and then add 1 thing to the game and 10 thousand others will appear. Programmers have not yet learned how to code these types of games. It's based on trial and error.

When I said about posting ettins would have crimson cinctures on them, I never said they really would. It was an example of how powerful a simple change could make on the game towards its community and people in general. The ettin race, as it is now, are mostly avoided.

This was a sarcastic, metaphoric example, so you could create a picture in your mind of what just the power of suggestion can behold.

The title of this point is the same. It's not just 20 things and they're not all easy, but they would make the difference that's needed in the game in my honest opinion.

Like my point about plants. It's not because I want it to be easier it's because it lacks functionality and realism. Survey 1,000 homes today, then come back and tell me how many plant growers you find, then make this simple change and you will find new players growing plants.

I'm a 10+ year vet and I have played thousands of games. These particular changes are just examples. They have nothing to do with making the game easier, if anything the game needs to be turned up a notch.

A suit with all 70's lower regeant cost, 100%, would change the game for younger players or players who have not yet learned the importance of having 100 lower regs. It would not make the game any easier. It would only allow for people to attain basic equipment that is needed. If you would think about play style, for example, before AoS, you put on a suit and it pretty much matched everybody elses suit. There were few things to work for and upgrade, but you had the basics.

Today, the designers do not even allow the players the basic need.

Try this experiment, buy 20 barbed leather kits, see how many you need to get a simple basic 70's suit with lower regeant cost. I don't see how easy fits into this equation when we're already talking 15 mill just to buy the kits and basically you end up with a suit that is worthless because it only has all 70's and lower regeant cost.

The hard part comes in when we try to cap our stats, our defense chance, 10 hit point regeneration, 10 mana regeneration, 10 stamina regeneration, 70 spell damage, lower mana cost, spell channelling mage weapon, templates. These are the things that make the game hard, these are the things the player has to strive for.

What i'm suggesting are the basic needs. The ability for our smiths and tailors to create these basic needs, not to hand them the master suit. To do this they would have to give up the one we are speaking of, which is just a simple, basic need.

Imbueing, do you even know what that is? and they're new players. Der. They're not supposed to have everything instantly. And, if you want everyone to have 100% lrc then why aren't you asking them to remove reagents?

Your second point doesn't make sense, you're asking for items with uber properties... and then refering to Pre- AOS? Doesn't work that way sunshine.

    Imbue, what a concept.

Yes, a simple basic need is to have a suit with 40 lmc, 10 of each regain, an SC no penalty DCI one hander -20 mage weapon, 70 spell damage with 100 LRC. That's a simple need. No, you want an Uber suit without any work, that's not a simple need, that's a handout.

I don't see how you misunderstood. Maybe you should wear a helmet or try ducking because everything I say seems to go right over your head. Notice the bottom of your post says a simple basic need and then you quoted what I said a player would need to strive for. Where is your comprehension and why are you trying to use my own words against me?

Let me explain something simple to you, at least I will try to make it as simple as possible. When you create a smith character with 120 smithing and you have a talisman of 25, 25 bonus, it uses a system. The same goes for a tailor. If you have a tailor that is 120 tailoring and a talisman 25, 25 bonus it works on a system. Now let's get crazy. Let's say tailoring and smithing are 2 different systems, then let's add imbue into the mix and arms lore, these are what you would call (parallel systems). That means these systems run along side of each other.

Now, let's take imbue out of the equation and let's try a real life story. You have 10 people in your guild and they all need suits, they're all mage/tamers, so they need the ring and the bracelet for their taming skills so they can control their pets. So, to help them, you need to create lower regeant suits with at least 70 physical, 70 fire, and 70 energy.

Now what surprises me is that the 120 smith nor the 120 tailor can achieve this.

So, now let's say we put imbue back into the mix. Will that not cost more money? So, should I go back to my guildmates and tell them sorry you'll have to live with your 50 physical, lower regeant suits because there is no way I can afford to make you each a suit that will cost me 5 mill plus?

So, the story will go like this, these people will continually die until their bank accounts are at zero, at which time they will lose their items and probably lose interest in the game.

And why is this, because it takes to many barbed kits to create 1 basic suit.
