hello, I wonder how a caster can get honor?
If not a caster attacks closely
Anyone can gain honor... but only people with bushido at 50.0 or higher gain a damage bonus from it, the damage bonus applies to Weapon Damage only though.
Anyone can honor a target and kill it with a pet or magery but they don't gain as much honor as a dexer. I know a lot of tamers honor themselfs to tame greater dragons. One other trick is to honor yourself if you get raided at a champ and get enemies surrounded by spawn.
Honor can be gained by everyone but the methods are different:
- If you are a melee character all your damage will be converted in honor.
- If you attack with range weapons or magic all your damage will be converted in honor, but if you move the counter reset.
- Pet and summons damage count only for 10%.
- Using poison reduces the total points earned.
Gaining honor needs to be seriously reworked. Mages are screwed in the current system as they aren't able to tank like a dexxer/sampire can, and they are restricted to one slayer (spellbook) and whatever SDI they can manage (compared to the easy-to-meet damage cap for melee).
Remove the movement and first strike penalties.
Then add Honor gains for BOTH participants of a duel in an arena. More for the victor, less for the loser.
: Thumbup: Thank you all, it becomes clearer to me now to understand the mechanics of making a virtue honor
?? mages have problem with honor you must be mistaken they gain it just fine! its mages without weapon skill that cant tank put on a mage weapon or get defencive wrestle or wrestle going and you will be knight in no time. seriously if you want to wear a spellbook get wrestle! oh wa wa wa you cant fit in that extra power skill you will survive alot better if you do though
