Hi! i have been away from uo for a while. but im thinking about starting a char at sige this time around. I have a friend that satarted on the server a cuple of weeks ago. And he says that a Chrafters in the char i want to hav on sige. Is he telling the truth?

here i the skills i think about having.
120 Tailoring
120 Blacksmith
100 Armslore
100 Mining
100 Tinkering

that means that i have 180 skill points left. im thinking about about magery so i can gate. but there i only need 80. but that is just a thogut.

Put 80 into magery - ye can always gate with scrolls.
The other 100 I would put into bowcraft or alchemy.
Both are usually in demand here.

Welcome to the Siege forums. Yes, I would certainly go with magery. You can also use jewels and a spellbook to boost the skill for gating.

Other skill to toss around are
1) carpentry - making trapped boxes, if you got like 35 tinkering you can usually sell these pretty good.
2) cooking - enchanted apples are a decent seller
3) poisoning - a DP shuriken vendor is always good to have.
4) alchemy - kegs are always a good seller
5) music - may wanna think about keeping 50 music on ya that way u can make instruments, i only know of one vendor that keeps the instruments stocked halfway decently.

there is no substitute for magery on siege, gate travel is a much needed utility.

I gate with 2 x +14 jewels (my +15s are stashed in the house so that I can make abbatoirs), a +5 tali from the library (which only goes between house and bank), a siege blessed tome of lost knowledge and scrolls.

I have 0 real magery skill.

Oki, I only gate from house to bank, where I stash my tali and I fizzle a lot, but I get by.

I also have 0 real music skill, but 2 x +15 jewels, a singing axe and song woven mantle allows me to make musical instruments.

I don't believe in magic myself. I run everywhere.
Which makes hiding a good skill [IMG]

Kind regards

Just a suggestion.... but you can do what im doing and just get some soulstones and do all the crafting skills. im currently working every crafting skill on soulstones so i dont have to have a set template. If you cant afford the 10$ for the legacy token you can buy them on siege for around 2 mill each. thats the way to go on a crafter me thinks.
