What do you like about it and what don't you like about it?
    Things I Like About SA
    1. I like the new crafting menu.
    2. I like the new dungeon
    3. the new monsters are cool
    4. the new quests are fun.
    5. so much more to see and do in UO now that it's over whelming

    Things I'm not sure about.
    1. the new gargoyle race. I have my days of liking the gargoyles an other days of not really liking them. We'll see as it goes on at least we can turn back into elves or humans.

    Things I Just don't like
    1. Imbuing. Those carpel tunnel is setting in and it costs just too much to do the skill...Is it worth it.

    I give SA a
  2. This may or may not apply but...

    1) I don't like that I do not have the expansion
    2) I don't like that I'm missing out on the action
    3) I don't like that I cannot get meh some battle chickens!
    4) I don't like that I cannot tame me a little Skree
    5) I like how Gargoyles look and fly! But I do not like how they cannot wear normal armor.

My likes and dislikes are relatively limited at this point in time

I like new creatures, some are simply awesome!
I like the idea of imbueing.
I like the new wall tiles and floors, very well done whomever did it.
I like the ability to buy rug parts. Thank you Dermott.
I like the way a skree runs at me then stops just waiting... lol

I hate the fact that those who knew all the ways were rewarded . Some of the tricks could have been shared after the nda was lifted. Thanks alot you know who... :( Guess you had just woken up. yea...

I am trying so hard to get the ten k loyalty points. Even was born with 2k. I heard that many just sat there and killed those acid slugs and now have a Ter Mur home. Thank you Draconi for not allowing me the same way. :(

I went to the toxic sliths and my ev promptly killed a healer. Arg! I had been partied so you know what happened... Did not go well.

I am trying to stay with UO. I really am.

I totally agree with that lol. I think the gargoyles look really awesome, but the fact that they cant wear normal armor kinda sucks. I also dont really like that they cant use archery.. but I guess that's what throwing is for, huh?

I also like that we are able to buy carpets, I was really getting sick of my cold stony bare floors of my keep. :)

I like most everything else, although I really don't like imbuing too much. Its way too expensive to train.. and I don't like that after you imbue something you cant pof it.

But over all, Id give it a

    1. I like what Imbuing brings, just can`t wait to get mine high enuff to use it.
    2. Love the new dungeon area`s. Still haven`t done any real bosses, still havin fun exploring.
    3. Just startred gettin into some quests. For a non questing type player I`m finding them entertaining.
    4. I LOVE the maps in EC,its the one thing that makes me not play 2d sometimes.
    5. I like the anti tamer AI of some of the mobs in SA. Its nice having to play defensively (finally) when I`m on my disco/peace tamer. Keeps ya on your toes, more challenge = more fun.

    Hrmmmm things I don`t like....

    1. I like the hotbars but they are very hard to read when scaled down. I`d like to be able to change the colors of them, like black/red or something that jumps out at ya.
    2. I`d like to have resizable windows. Its nice being able to drag your playscreen to however ya want it.....would also be nice to do the same for things like legacy backpacks (in EC).
    3. I was looking forward to turning my weaver tamer into a garg. Loved the thought of mounted speed with a Gdragon. Since the change I`m having serious trouble tracking down the things needed to make a comparable suit that was perfect while an elf. Hell I can`t even put an LRC suit together yet. I kind of shot myself in the foot on that char for a lil while it feels like.Wish they would have thrown more common +skill arties out there for gargs. Its very hard to make a no skill garg with no options like tamer mark of trav for example.Yea I`m only 90 taming, wanna fight about it! :D
    4. Don`t like having to hit enter to talk in EC. Yes,its trivial and I`ll get used to it but damn thats annoying sometimes.
    5. I don`t like the way macro making is done. I think it would have been much more user friendly if they would have done some kind of macro recording instead.
    6. Hotbars are OK but I wish I could have my icons anywhere I wanted them to be.

I just hafta say I like SA and everything it brings. I have alot of fun playing in both clients. Thats huge for me since I`m one of the hardcore 2d`r crowd. While I still do play the biggest percent of my time in 2d, I actually do look forward to messing around in the EC at times. Its not something like KR or *gulp* UO3d,where I tried it every few months till I just said screw that and never touched it again. Great work on SA and the EC...... I`m enjoying all of it.

I like the new animals and monsters.

I like the way to boura die.

I would like to like throwing. I wish throwing was better. I never see a thrower out killing stuff.

I like the new items like dyes. Just wish I had a suit that matched so I wouldnt have to cover it with a robe.

A big Thumbs up from me! [thumbsup]

After a month's (roughly) playtime, opinion has stayed pretty consistent on the content of the expansion. The new lands are great, the quests are well done (even if they are simple fetch/kill quests, the tier system works well IMO). The challenge levels of the mobs are much better (mainly for veteran players, less so for undeveloped characters) than the now mostly forgotten legacy monsters, and the touches of Ultima itself being a much bigger aspect than previous expansions round out the completeness of the experience.

    Some directed thoughts:

Imbuing: Yeah it's expensive to train... and it SHOULD BE. How long and often have there been threads asking for gold sinks or a way to improve the economy? Personally, I'd LOVE to see a Dev come here and tgive us a ballpark number of the amount of gold that has beens unk by people (myself included) training up Imbuing. And remember that buying gems from the NPCs then dumping them into the training process and unraveling the result is in effect a TRUE gold sink as the gold actually LEAVES the game (instead of going to another player).

PvM issues: Mostly minor, Tyball was an issue early on but has been addressed. The Discarded caverns need a SERIOUS look as getting basic ratman loot on a create that takes 5 - 10 minutes to kill is NOT exactly rewarding (yet it doesn't seem to slow players down to going as it seems to be pretty active at least on LS... go figure hmm? I guess it's the cloth drop). A couple of minor gripes would be the abundance of lethal poison strikes and the people dragging spawn around in ToK... but those are minor issues really... just annoyances.

Expanding the expansion: Yep, you read that right... as much as we have been given in the expansion, there's a GOOD portion of area that just seems "dead". I'm wondering how much additional content has been planned that just didn't make deadline. If the current batch of quests are any indication, the new ones will be good as well.

The new-new client: A constant frustration for me as I have seen what is possible and what's been sacrificed. I also see 12 years' worth of history that does NOT bode well IMO for the future of the new-new client in the state it is in now... at least without significant movement forward developmentwise. The mods can do a lot, but even then, they can only do so much.
  9. I like everything except imbuing, and being a gargoyle mule. I can't hold my Mel Axe
