This Alpha Ship Spotlight will focus on the first battlecruiser we’ll take a look at – the Caldari State’s Drake.

This steadfast battlecruiser is a perfect example of State tradition and meticulous Caldari craftsmanship, and has fast become one of the mainstay hulls used in the Caldari Navy, along with most of the megacorporate security forces in the State.

The Caldari way is simple – a solid shield tank, a hail of missile fire, and the option of overwhelming ECM capability should the situation call for it. With systems focused heavily on shielding and application of firepower via advanced missile subsystems, the Drake is a front like vessel that packs a savage punch.

Testament to its popularity, the Drake is widely revered by capsuleers across the cluster, with the immortal question ringing through the mind of every fleet commander in New Eden - "Can I bring my Drake?"
