"An Aged Ex-Adventurer" quest guide correction

Discussion in 'General Discussion' started by Akivashkathla, Oct 10, 2008.

  1. These corrections were in the original forums which, sadly, were lost, so here we go again.

50% of the time the old man is "hurt" getting home by himself, and his daughter will only reward you with 10k adena and no EAD. This is still more than enough to cover shots and teleport from Oren (and even better if you ran it).

Note that the old man appears in one of at least FIVE places each time he spawns, which appears to be an hour after you complete the quest, or possibly a bit longer if you don't complete it. It is possible that there is a sixth location as I sometimes could not find him, but this may very well be due to someone else locating him first.

See below, the attached map showing the spawn spots for the old man.

  2. UPDATE:

With the advent of cubics, this quest is effectively dead, due to the high chance of an EAD or even EWD daily with cubics for no real work.

The D enchant market is pretty much gone as well, as a result of everyone having tons of them due to cubics.

You can still get more daily this way but the point is mostly moot.
