I do not know for a fact, but I believe that all the "west coast" servers (which includes LA and Origin) are located in San Diego (that is where the old UO HQ was, right?). It used to be that the central ones were in Austin, Tx, but they moved them when they moved UO.

I would SUSPECT that the east coast servers (including GL, Siege, Chessy, etc) are in Virginia now, but could be wrong about that :)

I think that the west coast servers are in the Bay Area, not San Diego. The last few hops before hitting EA servers are all in Stockton & San Jose, for me.

As for the East Coast, a traceroute to them bounces from DC to a VA-side suburb (Ashburn, VA) of DC, before hitting EA.

Ashburn is probably the biggest Internet crossroads anywhere, home to MAE East, AOL, and MCI (now part of Verizon). It's a great place to locate servers.
