    I am makeing a bard with 120 in all 4 barding skills. That means i have 240 extra points. 100 of which I am planning on putting into hiding because of the usefulness/convenience of the skill. With the other 140 I am not sure what skills I should use to keep myself alive.
    40 chiv for healing and cure, 100 magic resist?
    100 spellweaving, 40 something?

    I want to try and stay away from magery because of its uselessness after death.
    I also plan on using lots and lots of pots.

    Any suggestions or opinions would be appreciated.

    i liked running with high spellweave/chiv. no need for supplies. very easy to hit though w/o wep skills/magery+mage wep. but it's a nice cheap template, all you need is a blessed instrument.
  4. You can use a fire horn for some damage if you are running all 4 bard skills. Also if you are going to use pots I'd recommend makeing alchemy and useing explosion pots. As for hiding if I were you take magery instead. Magery has all the good stuff including great pets, invis, area blocking spells (great for a bard), curse/disco stack, big heals when needed, energy vortex, and of course the ability to gate to get around! Pot damage with 100 alch is pretty decent. I would go with at least 110 magery. Save up for a 115 or a 120 down the road. The extra few points run med or focus. If you wear even a mana regen6 (1mr per piece) suit you should be fine. Mana regen 1 armor is all over and cheap. All you would want to run blessed is a ecru citrine ring. 50% pot bonus. I think you will have a blast. What ya think?

    Sounds solid to me, but the reason I enjoy hiding so much is because I can hide indeffinetly. For those times when something comes up.

    But I will think about it.

    My Bard was 120 all bard with 120 SW GM med.
    So is your math off? 500 points in bard 100 in hide only leaves 100-120 points to play with.
    I would suggest SW anyway since all you need to do is keep gift of life on.

    4x120 = 480
    hide = 100

    This is what I get posting before the coffee kicks in.
    What will you be hiding from? Will you be human or elf?
