Better Macro For Resources

    This macro could be implemented in all clients. I would like to see a better macro for gathering resources. Instead of dropping the axe onto a box and then clicking wood or dropping the axe and using last object timer, last target.

    Why can't we just make it so the axe itself has the macro in the code? You place the axe in your hand, you click the axe, you get a target and you target a tree. Now you continue you chop until your pack is full. When your character stops and says My pack is to full to continue.

    Now, all you need to do is make a hot key for the axe. Then you click the hot key and the target appears.

    The same could be done with pickaxes, they have drop down menus to pick or choose types of resources, like stone or ore, sand. Now they just need to be fixed so when you use it, it doesn't just do it one time, it continues to mine in that spot until your pack is full.

    With fishing the fishing pole should be fixed the same way. You place the fishing pole in your char's hand. You click the fishing pole and get a target, then you click where you wish to fish. Your fisherman continues to fish until the pack is full or you hit another key which would stop the macro to stop the other action. Again, you would only need to give the fishing pole a hot key.

    No macros needed.

    Come on now, set macro to use last item click ax, click tree hit macro and repeat.I have to macro on F2 The click axe, click tree actions already exit and I am sure UO assit can automate this further. I don't use UOassist, I just use in game macros.

    I think it is a good idea, easier even than UOAssist. And for all of you UOA junkies, what about KR? and who says UOA will work forever? If it doesn't what then?

    KR's "target by resource" option in the macros is better (IMO) than UO assist =)
  7. yup - the client macros are quite sufficient to do the OP's desired work. So is UOA.
