While I have seen extensive discussion of the melee damage increase and the damage modifier calculations, I am curious to know if anyone has actually seen, in the game, that they do melee damage beyond the DI and the damage modifier caps (in other words, beyond 12x). For example, if I have a weapon that does max 10 points of damage, per the calculations my maximum is 120 points damage (10 x 3 x 4) possible to any creature. Has anyone every experienced a time where they have gone beyond 12x their maximum base damage? If so, how did you go about transcending the caps? (My apologies if this has been covered before, though I could not find any such thread).
