Hello, after turning in a bunch of bods to my usual favorite smith in britain, I could not help but feel a bit letdown with the new bods I was getting from him after turning in some small irons. with that said, im pretty sure its all RNG and does not matter which smith/tailor you use, but i thoguht id ask here..., does it matter? does it matter if i go to an armorer or weaponsmith or guildmaster? they all are just dispensers for the same random bods right?

    thanks :thumbup1:

What matters is your char's skill - the higher the skill the higher percentage of coloured and exceptional quality BODs.
What BOD you turn in before asking for a new one and which NPC you choose doesn't have any effect to my knowledge.
Mind you - my elder smith has not picked up anything good the last month or so, collecting one BOD every day. Mostly weapons, very few coloured and nothing higher than shadow.

Theres a lot of debate on this but my"superstition" is weilding a ashammer +60 if ya got one increases skill and the percentage of good bods along with it.

yeah i knew it was skill based, but was just wondering if anyone else feels some smiths are against them :p

hehe, i had a +60 hammer somewhere, i remember holding it once or twice to try to sway the rng to go my way, maybe ill give that a go again,

Nothing I've tried has effected the RNG. The pseudo-random number generator is very streaky, but random all the same.

I don't know if it matters. But I only get my bods from the guildmaster/mistresses.

I sit nakid on my fire beatle holding a lantern with three blue crates and one yellow crate stacked like this blue-blue-yellow-blue next to me in umbra. In my pack I carry nothing but the BOD book and pillow dyed green(the round ones). I seem to get a val bod about every 45-65 bods.
