So, i have been wondering if you can use the old legacy boats for doing quests or do they get overloaded. The crates do not show weight so I was wondering if you could actually fill big orders in the small legacy ships.

I could care less about the ability to store fish piles in the keep.

You can do quests with those old boats, but you will be limited to small orders. I am not shure, if even 2-liners are possible but 1-liners are. (400 stones weight limit on the hold of classic ships and a 2-liner could reach 2*20 fish with 10 stones each + chest.)
I already asked earlier, if this could be a way to 'farm' hooks from the fishmonger quests without spending too much fish. Answers were: possible, maybe, not tested. *g*
