Charity begins at home

Discussion in 'UO Europa' started by Guardsmen Militia, Aug 7, 2010.

  1. The Guardsmen were all stood eagerly awaiting the evening's tasks when I delivered the news; groans of distaste spread through those gathered, what else could I expect? The lint filled pockets of the Yewish don't exactly make them my target audience. The Yewish Guardsmen especially are more charity-cases than potential charity donators.

Alas I continued on and managed to appeal to their competitive natures; making them agree to dig deep and sign-up to help raise funds for those less fortunate (what a novel concept!)

Some of the men took a little persuasion but eventually gave in to peer pressure, a shame it wasn't the desire to do good for their people.

Eventually our collection was started and a few coins made, we've a long way to go but I'm in no doubt we'll manage it.

Further details of the pledges made and our progress can be found in the town forum or 'market place'.
