Are they being "reverted" every 30 days or is this a one time deal?
I understood that old maps would become random "after 30 days" all newly aquired maps will be random
Right but after the initial 30 days is up will they be reset again in another 30 days?
The way I understood it, any decoded map that isn't completed will "reset" after 30 days. I, too, would like a simplified answer if this isn't the case.
its either 30 days after its been decoded or every 30 days they will all be reset. I would like like to know which also.
This was how I read it ladys and gents.
There will be in 30 days a resetting of all decoded maps and locations will become random on said maps at that time. As a 1 time reset.
That's the way I read it also but I am hearing others read it differently.
I thought maybe we might get some clarification but I forgot it's Sunday lol
Best clarification so far? I understand that there is just a 30 reset for any decoded maps not dug up. Decode a map, 30 days without digging it up, reset.
It's certainly not 30 days from the day you decode the map. Maybe 30 days from the day Supreem posted.
Question is will there be another 30 day cycle after this one.
I think that if the day that Supreem posted and the day the new maps went live were the same,it'd be 30 from there,if not i'd ask for clarification on the starting date.
At that point, non used maps(non dug up, but decoded is ok) will revert to the new status. That one 30 day period is all there is.
Guess if your training cart, you could decode the same maps twice
This is what we were asking for clarification on.
If it's only one 30 day change, then why say maps are now random after 30 days? It wouldn't be considered that if it was always going to be it's "original" decoded location....
This is WAY to confusing, I hope we get an official statement...
I can't find it, but there was a response to "new" random maps being borked and unable to be dug up. The response said to keep them as after 30 days they would be reset. To me that sounds like each map has its own timer and resets every 30 days if its not dug up.
I will keep looking for the response.

Did you post this in Ask the Devs?
It's a good question and one that should be answered.
Ask the Devs has been abandoned for the last 2 months. Maybe we should light a fire and send smoke signals...
A wee naughty thought in the back of my mind somewhere tells me the 30 day thing was a stalling tactic by Speedman to allay our fears after he released a bugged t-map update upon us.
Correct but that doesn't say "And any you decode subsequently will be reset in 30 days if you don't feel like digging on dot island (or whatever)"
We are asking if the map reset in 30 days is cyclical or a one time deal.
If cyclical are we going to have a specific day of the month set for map resets or is it 30 days from the date of decode.
I understood it to be a one time deal. Others feel it's "every 30 days".
Flutter it might be mind you this is a supposition that in 30 days from the maps change introduction the old maps with old locations will revert to reset maps for rereading and no longer be at the old map spots anylonger. With the chance that if maps still reconfigure for undigable map locations they will continue to reset the maps to update the site engine to upgraded code as in :

As I read it they knew the randon spot generator would give undoable maps, and that when they refine the program runing the maps system some of the bugged maps will revert to unread and change locations. This however does not say it will be a one time thing. We might be looking at a reoccuring reset till the bugs are out of the system. You might just get rid of one bad map and get 3 more at the change......
I think Cal has me on ignore LOL!
