Combat timer?

    What up with the criminal/war timer on logging out?
    I have been able to go out flag someone attack them hide in the middle of yew and log out instantly.
    Other time I go into despise get killed wait out my crim timer in star get into my house and have to wait ten minutes before I can login another character. Anyone else having that problem?

    As far as I can tell, all they did was add an actual gump that appears when you attempt to log out that warns you that you have X:XX time left before you can log out (in-game, as well as out). At least it does in the EC.

    Everything else, the TWO minute timer (NOT ten--you need a new clock), has been in place since dinosaurs roamed the planet back in 97'. It doesn't have to be PvP either--attacking a bunny on my front steps in trammel, killing it or not, triggers the same timer. If I log out in my house before the timer runs out, and log in another account in the same house, the first character will still be standing there until the timer runs out.

    The timeout rules are stupid. If you are able to recall out of wherever you were (ie no aggressor flag) then the timer should reset.

    I hate killing a mongbat, recalling home, and then having to wait to timeout. I mean, I killed the stupid monster that was aggroed on me - why shouldn't I insta log on a DIFFERENT SERVER AFTER IT IS DEAD?

    Makes no sense - its just lazy programming. Should have been fixed 10 years ago.

    Good thing it doesn't cross shards - I just log in on same acct on diff shard and go about my business.
