EM Fiction Courage and Cowardice

    It was raining, but that didn't bother The Lady. The feeling of cold rain falling on her leathery skin and running down her to the floor below could not distract her from the goal. The chill in the air served to sharpen her focus as her breath steamed in the cool, sweet darkness. Like a shadow, she stealthed through the quiet streets of the city, smiling at the irony that she now did the work once done by her discarded lover, Marcus Rotgut.

    There was still much to be done. There had been setbacks with the restoration of the Book and the Candle, but the Bell was still corrupted and the Gates of Hell were breached allowing The Lady to call her children to come to her aid. The Master Plan to over-run Britannia was still intact.

    Courage and Cowardice. Only time will tell which would prevail.
