Dungeon monster spawn rates...

    Are a little crazy in some places eh? Take the Hylolth dungeon for example... clearing the balron room is really impossible when the monsters insta respawn the second you kill em!

    Different spots will have different levels of difficulty and how hard something is will be related to how far along or how optimized your char's template is. I think I know which room you mean in Hythloth (hard to be totally sure, though) and that rate is fine for some chars, even at the Fel respawn rate (which is faster than the Tram one so far for me).

    No, not crazy... it was intentional that the spawn of the Balron was to be
    that fast... just do not go there alone. Someone kills, someone loots...

    The real problem is that the spawn rate is way to fast in all the wrong places and way to slow in all the desired places.

    I would be completely happy with a new expansion that had no new content just a mass pile of corrections that change the way the game is bringing it closer to what it really should be.

    Correcting spawns so that the spawn rate is pretty much perfect and the locations of the spawn points is a little more thought out.

    Correcting all the blemishes on maps where tiles are messed up missing or whatever.

    Further redecorating of the world cleaning up stuff that doesn't need to be there any more.

    Fixing up 2d to make it faster to use like they tried to do with KR. Taking away much of the work from things you need to do on a regular basis.

    and so on and so on.

    We all know the list of things people suggest fixes for it goes on and on. What I would like to see is stygian abyss finally released and then the expansion after be nothing but a major overhaul of the game to clean it up and bring it into the modern world without some BS attempt like KR to try and create a new game and make everyone relearn how to play a game they have been playing already for so long.

    Players have been screaming for change for years now and creating a new client is not the answer we want. We want the game as we know it and love it updated to something actually worth the cash each month.

    Hmm I think I kinda got off track there but a good first step is the spawns and how they are handled.
  5. Last I read. The way the spawn works depends on the number of people there killing stuff. The more people there the slower the spawn rate. If only 1 person the faster the spawn rate. Granted it should be the exact opposite. Meaning the more people there the faster the spawn should be. But if only 1 person there. Im sure they would like to have atleast 30 seconds to loot before getting jumped again.
