There is a new announcement on the UO Japan website today that appears to be asking Japanese players who wish to do so (it's not a requirement) to log into the EA Japan support site and notify them of problems players have encountered using a credit card to pay for their accounts. I can't quite tell if the information is being requested to actually allow the support team to help individual players or more of an effort to get a better idea of which types of credit cards and multiple-UO-account-situations are causing issues. I tend to think it's the latter just because of the type of information being requested. I'm also not clear on whether they are trying to collect the information for accounts that players thought they had paid for by credit card and now the accounts are blocked, or from players who have experienced actual problems on the account management site while trying to put in credit card information. Maybe both? The announcement is here: ƒjƒ…[ƒXÚ× and the support website that you use to provide the information has a different address than the one non-Japanese speakers use for UO issues. Based on a rough translation, it looks like they are asking players who have experienced issues paying their subscriptions by credit card to tell them: EA Account name and whether or not any UO accounts have been linked to it If UO accounts have been linked to the EA Account, what operations have been performed with the EA Account Which type of credit card(s) the player has tried to use (Visa, Mastercard, or JCB) How many UO accounts are to be set up to pay by credit card Names of the UO accounts (but not their passwords!!) to be paid by credit card, whether or not the account is being blocked for paying by credit card, and which type of card the player attempted to use for that account. When the player submits the information on the support site, they ask that they make the subject line of the request "Credit Card Information Cannot Login"; select Ultima Online as the product; select "UO account support" "Other" for the category; and select "Windows" as the platform. I would imagine that if you are having similar issues, you might want to submit the same type of information to EA via the customer support site many of us have been using for the last week or so: support.ea.com. Remember, don't send actual cc information, just the type(s) of card you are using and which UO accounts are having issues and whether or not you have multiple accounts and which ones are having problems.
