[Britain, Trammel] Last Tuesday eve, Lord Magnus Grey, Commander of the Royal Spies, sent his men into the field to search for information about the Evening Star Clan and a demon known as Bertrand. Bertrand, son of the late demon Bartholomew, is said by Lord Grey to have "intellectual disagreements with demonkind," and is currently providing information to the Royal Spies. Lady Martyna Z'muir noted that Bartholomew -- who eventually became an enemy of Britannia -- had previously provided information to the Royal Spies as well.

Bertrand's current situation involves translating an ancient daemonic tome known as the Principia Daemonis in exchange for sanctuary. Lord Grey tells that the tome "is a demonic history plus spellbook of some sort." Enter the Evening Star Clan, a group of ninja who apparently do not wish this information to be shared, or perhaps seek the information themselves. Underpining rumors abound that this clan is affiliated with Travesty, thus making a potential connection to the Dark Lady Minax herself.

In addition to this connection, Lord Grey noted that the clan "has also been hired to kill as many of the Royal Spies as possible." He went on to reveal that a top secret list of the names of Royal Spies has fallen into these enemy hands, and that a few of the Royal Spies have already been lost. While he gave no specifics, Lord Grey did indicate that measures had been taken to help ensure the safety of future spies.

When asked what key piece of advice he would give to incoming members, Lord Grey responded, "Never stop. Learning. Running. Thinking. Fighting. Never get complacent."

The Royal Spies meet on Tuesday evenings at 8:00 PM (CDT) at the Counselors Guild in northern Britain, near the bridge to Lord Blackthorn's old keep. If you wish to aid Britannia from the shadows, then perhaps this elite group of secret spies is for you! They are always looking for aid, and it sounds like they could use it!

Next Royal Spy Mission: Tuesday, 1 June 2010 at 8:00 PM (CDT).
