for pvp healing

Discussion in 'UO Warrior' started by YuriGaDaisukiDa, Dec 26, 2008.

  1. I want to make a clasic knight, no special pvp template that will own everyone, just a roll playing class that will also do well in pvp

im working on swords tact, anat ,parry, mageic resist

should i get chivalry or healing for heals? chivalry would require focus, which would be a pain, but then i get cure and EEO as well, so i can do mobs, buuut i can always get spirit speak if i wanted, that works through poison doesnt it?

    what do you think?

Well lol...you have a bit of different thoughts and information going on here. Spirit speak can be effective and yes you will heal while still being poisoned. Bad thing is that you can get interrupted and it just is not reliable versus a well rehearsed dexxer.

You will not be able to heal and well...you will die fast. Not sure who told you the focus deal you will need chivalry, but that is not true. In fact, that could not be more false.

Now if you want a more pseudo-mage/dexxer setup you can implement MEDITATION with your chivalry. All depends on how much return you want and if you can afford to do that.

Personally, I always recommend having as many ways to heal as you can afford to without making yourself too weak of a template.

My templates are always pretty balanced so while a PvPer might be good really offensively...if they have only one way of healing and they aren't able to kill me right off the bat then...they are dead.

All offense and no defense isn't so good...in my book. My advice is have both the healing and chivalry if you can afford to. If not well...depends on your template.

More healing oriented, you will need higher dexterity.

Not healing oriented, well...won't matter. Enough dexterity so you can hit the swing speed cap.

I like to have at least 2 methods of healing on my dexxers. 3 if you count healing potions. The trick is to balance your skill points to make the methods effective.

Chivalry in the 80-90 point range is one of my favorites. You need high faster casting or protection spell to keep your spells from being interrupted.

Healing 90 and anatomy 100 is another skill I have on most templates.

If you have Bushido the confidence special is very effective.

Spirit speak is another method but if you have SS why not use necro for all the nice spells they have?

    For a classic Knight try this;

    Weapon 120
    Parry 120
    Anatomy 100
    Tactics 100
    Chiv 100
    Healing 100
Focus or Med 80 (for mana and or stamina regen. These can be replaced by good leech weapons and you could go to 120 in all the other skills)
