Getting resources from unraveling loot.

Discussion in 'UHall' started by DarkScripture, Jun 27, 2010.

  1. It would be nice to be able to recover 1/10th of the resources it would take to craft an item. I find MANY Use Best Weapon Skill, And Fast Casting items. It would be nice to be able to get say 1 relic fragment from an item that has say 10 needed to make the same mods. Maybe to keep the market from being over flooded, make this NOT work on crafted runics. It would give much more life into the found loot. I do feel we currently get way too much junk magic loot. Along with more table specific loot, it could bring more life into the hunt and less over looking mass dead due to nothing worth looting coming from this source. More of an open idea for USING loot found. If not the relics then maybe a change to get a random resource if that item WOULD have been used to craft it.

Resources from unraveled loot are just fine the way they are. You aren't meant to get relics from every hunt.
  3. Noted and that was why I added that last few lines about other resources and not wanting to flood the market. Again I think for something like this to be effective, the loot tables would need to be changed. And due to needing to have those changed it may never happen. Just seem there are only 3 items from unraveling, when there could be so much more to it.

Over the short term, a recent relic came lowest from a metal shield I looted that had I think only 343 total intensity. I've wondered if shields operate differently than other items.

I find I burn far more magical residue and enchanted essence than relic fragments anyway, although one unlucky run cost me 35 fragments for one property.

By my own flow of logic, it was lucky the weapon was for me. I will burn as much as I need to of whatever it takes to get what I want, but if the item was for sale or a client I'd never recoup the cost.

Enchanted essence I have particular trouble replenishing as I don't hunt 28/6 but I do plenty of crafting. I really don't want to pay a premium for basic ingredients but rarely do I stockpile more than I immediately need.
  6. ..I found a way to stockpile these early on. When I was doing the Hunter Quests for the toxic slith dropped massive amounts of loot and spawn is insanely fast paced. I also check Champ Shrines and will wait for the Boss to time public and horde minion uhall style back to the Public Forge. The Tomb of the Kings has a good paced fast drop of loot to unrav.
..I just meant for less junk to drop. More direct unraveling ingredients based on what I unrav. Not so much MORE just more inclined from what I am unrav-ing. Say I find Kryss with Mage -28, UBWS, Hit Dispell 10, Luck 3. When I unrav this I would like a chance to get SOMETHING from the High Mod of the UBWS. If It yielded even one essence from the UBSW with 120 Skill that would be Super. Say I had to use the queens forge to do this also.
