I recently crafted some Icy Scimitars, from a val hammer, that I was really proud of. One of them was a FC1, 50 ml, 45 sl, 15% harm, 55 damage increase, ubws.
Now that may not sound great to many of you, but after a billion duds over the years, that was the most useful weapon (dispite the ubws and lack of ssi) Ive ever made.
As soon as I got it into my warriors hands I insured it. I know this is true because Ive died a few times since then and had all three weps I carry with me upon being ressed.
I went to a spawn in Ish and about 5 mins into it, it got REALLY laggy and paragon succubus spanked me dead. I ran and got ressed but my new baby is nowhere to be found. I tried to find my corpse but it wasnt there. Im 99.9 % positive I returned to the exact spot because I died by the candle altar. That doesnt matter becuase I INSURED it.

Has anyone lost items in this way? Is the new insurance system bugged? All my other stuff has been insured since before the new system was in place. This is the only thing Ive insured in months because I havent crafted anything worth a crap in months. I have a few million in the bank so thats not the problem.
Im so angry right now Im close to quiting the game. Please dont ask me if I paged a GM. I did. They dont exist. I guess Im ranting and Im sorry but I just was curious to know if Im the only one this happened to.

If you used the new big menu thing, I think you have to check "yes" down at the bottom in order for the insurance to take effect. Sorry you lost your weapon. I would be more than happy to help you out with a new one. What shard do you play?

    Thanks for responding.
Looking back at my angry post I feel silly now :(. There was nothing constructive for anyone to respond too. As for your offer, thank you very much but Ill be fine. It was a perfect piece of candy to stop this baby from crying :).
I should wait awhile before I post.

Sadly, while insurance bugs are rare hits, they have been around for a long time. Sorry to hear of the loss.

I noticed you said you never found your corpse... While many hate the Enhanced Client, it is a good idea to keep it installed and patched for these cases. The EC will highlight your corpse on the map as well as put a glowing marker on the game-window to mark it for you. It is a LOT easier to find that way.

Wild guess, wild wild guess. But, I found a very nice two handed valerite runic made sword on the ground, insured, along with a paragon chest and a couple of pieces of jewelry, not insured. Heavy spawn area in Ish.

I have been trying to figure out what led the original owner to drop them.

If close to being overburdoned, if a measure of your stregnth is made up by gear, how will the game handle auto-equiping and auto-looting of your body? Will it recognized the increased stregnth from the gear at the same time it is picking it up?

Will is leave some items behind if overburdoned?

On a side note, with the enchanced client my primary weapon usually will spawn very deep into the pack. Even as low as the 115 box scrolling down, not the next available opening.

The two handed sword was not the type you lost, sorry.
Maybe it is still in the pack, but need to scroll to the bottom? Or, I have noticed an increase in items that appear not to be there, but their descriptions will show up when the cursor is over them.

Use the new insurance tool and see if it still wants to insure the item, if so, it is in your pack somewhere.
