Here are the 120 scrolls I bought this week on Asuka:

    Gar 1

    Magery 10m
    Eval Int 4m
    Resist 4m
    Myst 6m
    Med 1m
    Imb coming soon

    Gar 2
    Throw 5m
    Anat 800k

Two chars costing 30m plus (and then there is the cost of imbuing).

Now that's an idea for an item...

Checkbook - Blessed, of course, just like a check... with the ability to write a check up to the usual 1mil gp amount from anywhere in game. Also can be used to store up to 125 checks of any value.

Don't pay for imbuing. Just unravel enough for 500 enchanted essence and use a scroll binder.

Re Imbuing: That's the plan. At present 120 Imb is selling for 2m.

man scrolls are cheap over there

Imbuing is the easiest thing in the world to get from just playing normally. Like anything else, there's a trick to it.
