The only remaining Book of Charnadis sat on the table. At least as far as anyone knew, all the other books had been destroyed. Dramora stared at the book, willing it to self-destruct. Unfortunately, it did not.

She and James had spent the afternoon trying various ways to destroy this book; by fire; by water; by anything they could think of, and the book still remained.

There were very few options left that they could think of as possibilities to destroy it. If those failed, she had no idea what to do with this book.

James wanted to bury it in one of the pooka holes he knew of. Dramora was not sure that would be safe enough, although she had no other options at this point.

The only thing she did know, was that neither Aedon, Clive nor Penrose would get this book any time soon. She saw first-hand the effect just talking about it had on Clive and Aedon. Almost an obsession. She was quite surprised when Aedon had agreed to give it to her for “safe-keeping”. In reality, she had just wanted to get it out of his possession. And even though she agreed to give it back to him if he ever asked, she had no intentions of doing that.

She picked up the book preparing to put it into the runed bag Aedon had provided. She still felt nothing when she touched it. She’d had no idea what she should have felt, but Aedon was very surprised when she had picked up the book, like it was any normal book. Perhaps the magic of the book was gone? No. If that were true, it would no longer be effecting Clive and Aedon.

In the meantime, she slipped the book back into its bag, and left to put it back into its hiding place.
