Imagine a UO where, when Juo'Nar died, his dehydrated and spiced Liche corpse fell into pieces spread out on the ground. And imagine players could pick them up and keep them. And imagine that there was a way to put those pieces back together and bring Juo'Nar back.

Now imagine the good guy players hiding the pieces they have to prevent his return, while the bad guys are out looking for them and stealing what they can, while the good guys are doing the same to keep Juo'Nar from returning to the lands of Sosaria.

Imagine houses locked against intrusion, guarded by players and by magic, secretly hiding parts of Juo'Nar. Players playing shuffle games to keep other players from knowing where the pieces are. Spies, thieves, murderers, but with a purpose. Guards, secret safe houses, intelligence services, priestly magic and evil mage magic at work trying to win the battle of Juo'Nar's parts. And rewards for both sides for accomplishing their aims, of course.

Sounds like factions where if one faction would control all towns their forces would invade Trammel :p

Bah, factions are gamey as they are now. I'm picturing a game world where you join a faction by your actions, similar to the Bane Chosen thing.

But I'm afraid that anything less then a full guidebook is going to fail at what I'm trying to say overall. Still, I'm curious if this sort of game would interest people if there was a Justice System to keep people safe from it if they didn't want that part of the game.

An artifact system based on faction and pvp would bring more fun :D

I just gave Juonar's head to my character on a different account and then stopped payment. Victory for the forces of good.

    Crack is whack, man.

Stuck in a box? Can't get a new idea in yer head?
Buy Trebr's ointment of thinking for a mere token of it's real value.

Who says such an item has to be able to log out with a character? Who says it ever has to decay is left on the ground? Who says it has to be able to be locked down in a house or deposited in a bank?

Come on, man. Exciting things can be done for game play and an exciting world. And it can be done with much more than just Juo'Nar.
