Is there a mod that has legacy containers but compartmentalized corpse loot?

Discussion in 'UO Enhanced Client Discussion' started by georgemarvin2001, Dec 8, 2009.

  1. Unfortunately, ever since the Age of Shadows, which should have been named the Age of Massive Amounts of Junk, looting corpses and treasure chests has been a real hassle. Now, the EC has the capability to make it easier. Compartmentalized corpse loot is great. It would be better if high-end monsters and level 6 treasure chests didn't spawn all that low-intensity crap to begin with, but this is better than nothing.

However, I really like the nice looking, easy-to-organize legacy backpack, chests, bankbox and vendors. Also, if we load a vendor using the EC containers, in the legacy client, it is all piled at the very top of the backpacks and nobody can even see most of the merchandise to buy it.

Surely, the Devs could have made corpse loot separate, so that we don't have to switch back and forth between compartments and legacy every few minutes.

Any modders out there who could figure out a way to keep legacy containers but give us compartmentalized looting?

And while you're at it, is there any way for us to continue to right-click to loot, but get it to drop into our unraveling bag or loot bag instead of right into the main pack? Right-click looting would have been a great addition, if it had been made useful. However, when the loot just crams our main packs full, and makes it practically impossible to find our own equipment when we die, it's not a very good idea.

    Not that I know of.
I personally haven't looked at Legacy containers at all, so don't know how feasible this would be.

Not in any way that is user friendly (and the way that isn't user friendly has a high risk of being very buggy).

I am actually right click looting into a bag (thanks to Gildar's and Ash's hints), and have been for the last couple of months or so, but it really is not something I'd feel confortable releasing a mod for. It's a five-lines-change mod, though, so if anybody wants to, just PM me and I'll explain the specifics.
And BTW, this is one of the things that annoys me the most about the EC, since KR could do this very nicely and I see no reason why this should no longer be the case.
  4. Being able to nominate a bag for loot to go into once right clicked would be amazing, being able to nominate different bags for different types of loot such as gems, leather etc would be heavenly!

I would be interested in such a mod but if you feel you shouldn't share it then I will respect your wish.
