Ray Madrigal (California, USA) is seeking support in going ahead with "Legacy of Chernobyl: Voices of Pripyat", a film project that aims to spread international awareness about the risks of nuclear reactors. A nuclear accident will always be a very real risk, and will have widespread, devastating, irrepairable consequences for everyone across the planet. This isn't someone else's problem, because this is our planet.

This accident - horrific as it was - was caused by humans who removed safety systems from service when advised/told to not do that. Until that moment things were in safe condition.

Yes, nuclear is risky ... but how about the risks to our future breathing all the noxious fumes from carbon-emitting vehicles, factories and even homes? How about THAT disaster?
