Getting people involved in PvP again is something I feel strongly about. So I am continuesly trying to think of ways to make it more accessible. My first idea is probably been discussed before but I am just going to suggest it again to get some idea about it. Keep in mind the suggestions I have might be impossible which is why I am just opening a discussion with my fellow players! 1. Battlegrounds: I think this game could use some objective based PvP that will pool all the shards together to have some good battles. Issue's I can think of are 'cross realm trading' and how to choose teams. However for teams my thought is it could be linked to factions. 2. Open up Faction PvP on all facets, fighting in trammel I believe is pretty good for faction growth because maybe you will inspire someone to join the fight. 3. So basically my thought is that Lady Minax should return. Does her evil thing and links all the shard factions together pretty much forcing everyone to take action against her and her faction. She would move her faction base to a phased realm, and the other factions would follow and set up their own bases in this new land. Minax could be kind of the default location for town sigil's, guarded by Minax's minions and the Followers of Minax faction. The other factions would have to assault the Minax base and reclaim the faction sigils from them (minax can corrupt the sigils still) I'd like to see sigil's take 12-24 hours to corrupt to allow for longevitity in battles, it should not be easy to win, and the reward for capturing the towns should be noteable. Since all shards would be affected by the outcome of one battle owning the towns should be so important that everyone joins the siege. I have no idea's how to make town ownership mean something but idea's would be fantastic. Shard's would maintain their current ability to have a faction leader and town appointed positions. If faction's became linked I would like to see cross server faction chat implemented to co-ordinate. 4. Progressive statloss: So dieing and being in stat loss for 20 minutes kind of sucks, but it's deserved at the same time. My thoughts are you still maintain your 20 minute statloss but every 5 minutes you regain some of your strength. Off the top of my head I cannot remember the current % of skill loss but I will just pick the number 40. So at 20 minutes statloss = 40%, 15 mins = 30%, 10 mins = 20% and 5 mins = 10% then when its over your at full strength (this numbers probably need to be adjusted, just showing an example) I am not opposed to the Booster Pack concept for a PvP overhaul, if it has enough content that is. Anyways these are just some thoughts I've had and want to open it up as a starting point for discussion, hopefully we can take some of these idea's improve on them and maybe the dev's take note and can take action.
