I was working up an Ultimate Support character in the Bard forums, and in researching all the types of healing that can be done in game, I got really dissappointed with the bard masteries. Taking them out and toying with some other options I came up with this template which also seems like it could be a pretty good damage dealer.

This is for PVM, spawning in group. Not Solo Play.

Okay so I'm actually pretty dissapointed in the HPS of the bard masteries. Thinking further what about a setup such as this:

Magery (used for Invis, Gheal+Arcane Empowerment, Recall, Mark, Gate, Res, Cure...no need for eval)
Chivalry (Close Wounds, Cleanse by Fire, Remove Curse, Noble Sacrifice, Dispel Evil)
Spellweaving(Gift of Renewal + Arcane Empowerment, Gift of Life)
Mysticism(Cleansing Winds + Arcane Empowerment, Healing Stone + Arcane Empowerment)

Also seems to be a decent Damage Dealer as well...
RC, WoD, Hail Storm, Nature's Fury, Bombard....

I guess at this point this temp would go in the spellcasters forum...

You can dump the Chiv from that template. Cleansing Winds trumps Close Wounds, Cleanse By Fire and Remove Curse.
The real Bard buffs, are in Provo. Inspire gives +HCI/+SDI/+Dam Inc. Invigorate gives +Health (Bypasses the cap)/+STR/+DEX/+INT and heals the entire group every 4 seconds, so long as they're within range of you. The -Damage Taken of Peacemaking's Perseverance is nice, but that's about all Peacemaking has going for it. I'd suggest putting Music and Provo on that template. Something like this. Jewelry has on each piece FC 1/FCR 3/+10 Focus/+10 Music/+4 Provo. You can wear a Tome of Lost Knowledge and Treatise on Alchemy talisman to boost you to 120 Magery, or you could use a -0 Mage Wep if you're worried about getting hit.

    GM Magery (120 w/ Tome+Talisman)
    GM SW
    GM Med
    GM Focus (120 w/ Jewelry)
    120 Mysticism
    GM Music (120 w/ Jewelry)
    GM Provo (108 w/ Jewelry)

If you choose to use the Tome of Lost Knowledge, i suggest you use the Arcane Shield or Hephaestus to give you an extra FC 1, so instead of putting FC 1 on one of the Jewelry pieces, you can give it +15 Provo, bringing you up to 119 Provo.

Mh I think bard masteries are more effective with real skill. I'd rather put Mysticism or another skill on Jewelry. Focus is insanely easy to train. It would be no error to put some on jewelry, but you can save a lot of time if you train Focus to 120 and leave other skills on Jewelry. With a mage weapon and the help of a Satyr magery should be very easy to train, too.
