Guild Wars 2 has gathered steam and looks like the pre-orders from April have reached 1 million being reported by the Korean Times. They predict much higher after the release date on sales of GW2

ArenaNet development team has really done it's job and will continue to do their job for GW2. Many current players are already happy with the growth and development of GW1 and the same should be expected for GW2. The quote below should instill confidence that GW2 will grow and prosper.

As a current player of GW1 and soon to be a GW2 noobie next month when released, I know ArenaNet will continue to do a fantastic job on both of their products that has touched millions of players around the world. With over 7 million copies sold on GW1, which wasn't a persistent world, GW2 should be very successful.

Please enjoy the article from the Korean times.
