[NEWS] Lord Casca Visits PaxLair Statehood Anniversary Celebration

Discussion in 'UO Chesapeake' started by Lady Katherine, Jan 19, 2009.

  1. PaxLair City, Felucca

Everyone was surprised right before the start of the PaxLair Statehood's 11th Anniversary dinner when Lord Casca arrived outside the Mage Tower in PaxLair City. He was accompanied by a young woman who was introduced as the Royal Food Taster. Both were quickly invited to join in the celebration and Lord Casca graciously accepted.

Dinner was served and after a brief time for eating and drinking, Governor Winfield made a short speech commemorating the 11th Anniversary of the PaxLair statehood and thanking everyone involved at any level in making our realm the place that it is. Several other award presentations were made.

Lord Casca was invited to speak and made a few comments about the safety of the realm, specifically that the key to the safety of the cities in Trammel may be the securing of the cities in Felucca.

Shortly after the dinner, Governor Winfield showed Lord Casca the memorial to Seer Daemeon and the books that the Seer left behind. Lord Casca seemed to recognize the value of these works.

Here are a few images that were able to be taken of the event.

Everyone, thanks for the many years you have invested in this Realm. PaxLair would not be standing today without friends, allies, and even enemies. It's fun to keep PaxLair going, adapting, and operating as a "stage" for all to play on.

There's many great communities around the Shard! We don't always meet up frequently, and we all have our styles and interests. At the end of the day, we are companions in one form or another and help each other out.

So I thank you, the people of the Realm, for making PaxLair and our Shard what it is today ... as interest in all things seem to be increasing.

Thank you especially to the Mayors, Citizens, and Guilds of Dragons Watch, PaxLair City, and PaxOku. You breath life into our historic community each day.

We notice some big things affecting everyone in one way or another (not talking about mechanics in this list):

There's King Casca, the new King of Britannia - thanks Sire for coming to the PaxLair 11th Anniversary! So many people were impressed at how approachable you are.

There's the Shadowlords war, that could devastate our cities on Felucca and Trammel. Let's see if we can be the best shard to succeed and fight off this invasion. Might/will take some cooperation, so let's see what "success" will bring to Chesapeake.

There's EM Tailspin who appears to be very active. A lot can be learned in some books in the North Britain Counselor Hall, Trammel. Take a look each day and see if there's new information, and times and places noted by people for things happening.

It appears to be a great time to be in the Realm. So much potential, so many adventures.

Thanks to everyone once again. PaxLair Statehood and our cities of Dragons Watch (Felucca), PaxLair City (Felucca), and PaxOku (Tokuno) will be around for many years to come!

Winfield, Old Man and Governor of PaxLair Statehood
