Captain Cameron rocked on his heels and looked proudly at the bird on it’s perch next to the King’s throne. “What a good job the guard has done making sure His Highness did not loose this valuable pet!” he thought to himself. Dismas was still missing though. His last hide-out was empty, the miners of Haven could go back to being annoyed by lizardmen without threat of having anything stolen. Inside to the core of the issue were these gargoyles. Usually such a majestic race, you could find the outcasts around the outside of the Royal City of Ter Mur more frequently than not. Cameron didn’t really understand the political nature of the Crown’s relationship with the nation, but he did know that enslaving the downtrodden was not acceptable. He had much too much work to do. The Festival of the New Moon was coming and with Dismas still at large….
“Sir!” the guard said quickly, “There is a young lady…” looking nervous to continue as he saw the annoyed look on his superior’s face.

“A young lady?” Cameron asked waiting for the rest.
“Sir, yes Sir,” the guard continued, “The ferret breeder for the Prism of Light. She has information regarding Dismas.”

“Show her in immediately!” Cameron ordered. Finally some information on the thief….
    To be continued….
