Hi all, new player here. I'll spare the backstory and get right to my question. Do you know if it's possible to train imbuing without the expansion Stygian abyss? Could I purchase a soulforge, put it in my home and train my crafter that way?

    I think you can not.
There are public houses with soulforges on all shards. Find one and check.
On SP and Europa you can find soulforge (and forge) in my house.

You need Stygian Abyss to use imbuing, mysticism and throwing. And there are many item properties that can oly be used with SA. I recommend SA. All of the other expansions are optional in my opinion, but SA is essential a prerequisite in today's UO.
