Can anyone tell me why I went from pinging 30 to 276?????
Did you move, change computers or interntet providers?
I realise those are very obvious reasons, but just in case!
Are you downloading porn right now?
Post your trace route logs. I can't tell you anything without data, unless you want me to guess.
Go to DOS prompt
post the results (you might wanna delete the first hop tho)
Close all internet programs except Ultima online before you run that. It will tell you what connections are open, what port they are running on, and the connection status. If you see several connections, but only ultima online is running, then you got a problem. Don't post the results (it would give people your ip address).
Just called comcast and the guy said there was a line cut in the area and that they were working on it right now and my speed should resume shortly. And on top of that he's gonna give me their upgrade package (from 6 megs to 8 megs) free for the first 3 months, and after that only $10 extra per month. Don't sound like a bad deal to me. *shrugs*
I really can't see a diff in pinging between 30-100 unless I'm in large groups, is that just me?
All day today I've been pinging 250-300 so, its pretty bad on my side
before i was pinging anywhere from 26-33...now im pinging anywhere from 270-350..and it's a huge difference, I can barely even move. I would prolly die to a crafter right now if i was to try to attack someone. And pinging at 100 is what i like to call hiden lag, you can hardly notice the lag, but it is there and will make a big difference when you're fighting someone who is really good and has a ping of 17.
I useally ping 100-150, Not very fast internet offered out here. If only comcasts package was available here aswell!
Ditto here! And its wireless too, so add lag everytime a low cloud rolls thru
Still, I used to play the game on dial-up so pinging 120 is better than before!
