UoGuide says that i get 20% poison resist based on my skill so at 100 that be 20 poison resist, my question is does that stack with my cap of 70% poisons resist? so ideally i can have 90 poison resist? or does it still cap out at 70% meaning i only need 50% resist on my armor?

Its not a resist its just more of an immunity to it:

"Poisoning skill also grants a natural poison resistance which is 20% of the player's poisoning skill."

It just means when I get poisoned it wares off faster.

Also I just tried after reading your post about only needing (possibly) 50 resist. I took of my leggings (they have 23 poison resist) and it dropped my poison resist down. The poison skill did't add anything.

With GM posioning you are more or less posion proof in game but that does not mean you are posion proof to posion damage type. They are two seperate things one is a damage type the other is a spell type

It's not really OP unless dueling..and it only resists lesser poison. DP and Lethal can not be resisted.

For investing 80.0-100.0 skillpoints in Poisoning just to increase the power of 2 easily counterable spells (Poison, Poison Field), i don't see it as OP.

You don't need 80.0-100 poisoning to get the free cure. that's dumb as hell. it should require a minimum of 100.0 skill points in poisoning to gain this immunity effect, then all is well.

I don't like it because it breaks mage dueling, by adding in yet another R N G attempt to f*ck things up.
