Hi all, nostolgia hit me so i decided to resubscribe for the first time in many many years. Im still getting used to all thats changed since i last played but i had a few questions:

how fast are skill gains these days? am i better off making the most of my young status (still have about 30 hours left) or should i just bite the bullet and get a mythic char token to get a decent tamer started right off the bat to start grinding for some gear to skill up other toons?

is there any effective templates for melee toons other than sampires anymore?

and i always loved treasure hunting, if anyone is willing to give me an idea of a starting template until i get power scrolls etc that would be greatly appreciated.

Skills go up very fast. Also there are quests in New Heaven to get to 50 even faster.

With young player aura you can GM 7 fighting skills in one evening. I suggest you to start with 50 healing, 50 chivalry, 1 sword, 19 bushido (49 healing/chivalry if you want to get new player quest rewards for those skills).

    sword/tactics/bushido/parry/chivalry/resists/anatomy/healing
Later you can decide what to drop - resists or healing.

    for example, sword/tactics/bushido/parry/chivalry/carto/lockpick
